These two videos might be helpful. Early in the second video he covers adding data to a DBC file. Some nice hints and tips between the two

Re: Zombieverter looses WiFi connection when trying to update
Yep, it works and is a good job. I recently made up some ESP8266 wemos adaptors and have tested the new UI on two ZV's. also tried an ESP32 based wifi module but haven't got that version working yetJacobsmess wrote: ↑Wed May 08, 2024 6:28 pm I was never sure but will the latest web UI work on zombie?

When you mention two battery boxes either side of the rear prop, I've gone that route and would suggest investigating if you could follow the BMW X5/530E/330E pack design route. You'll have seen their two main battery compartments either side of the prop, but connected either above or below the prop...

That's an interesting question!!! I'll hopefully find out very soon. Have some CAN logs but pretty sure I'll need more before I'm done. Make sure you get your CAN logs!
Is yours a 3.6?

Re: [WIP] L322 RR Vogue - The beached whale
One question for what I'm thinking of doing. I see you mentioned the height of your battery boxes as 224mm. Could you throw a tape over the length and width of your battery boxes please? Thanks Evkiwi, The main outer body dimensions of each box are 1395mm x 342mm x 224mm. with the way I've overlapp...

Re: [WIP] 1986 Ex-Military Land Rover 110 - GS450H
I wondered about a cooling plate setup that didn't require alu machineing or welding. Something that could work on the outside of a battery box, but also be a sandwich plate style for between battery modules. Using the underfloor heating tube idea above, and simple 2mm or 3mm alu sheet, is there som...

I have been searching for a replacement module 4 from a SR 55kWh Tesla Model 3 battery (four short length modules). Interested if you come across one and willing to split packs

Hi Muehlpower,
I did thanks, and I've sent an inquiry. Price per module is too high for me. Others I found won't split the pack. But will keep trying. Thanks

More Batteries!!! Thanks to Marty on the forum here, I got hold of a BMW X5 24kWh pack :) Still trying to hunt down shorter length Tesla Model 3 module for the other pack, but in the mean time I wanted a handy smaller pack that was easily controlled and a working BMS option for testing and getting ...

I have a SimpBMS and just got a 24kWh X5 pack too. Are there many changes to the BMWPhevBMS to get it working with the X5 pack? Is it mainly around identifying the extra modules on the CAN bus?

Re: I bought a BMW 330e hybrid battery pack - Now What?
I will have a BMW pack arriving soon and had a query about the temperature control units the batteries sit on. So I believe these use a refrigerant gas, via a heat exchanger...but do they look like they'd handle coolant liquid as an alternative!!!? Maybe the cross sections and seals don't suit

Did you do any testing with the X5 pack s-box to see if it functions for pre-charge etc using the 330E/530E CAN work? And to check if it functions with the zombie integration?

Battery: While I keep an eye out for a replacement TM3 24 cell battery module (recent cell issue), I've been following Johu's work with the VW ID modules. I see them used in commercial universal packs and they have a number of BMS options. So considering an early upgrade to the battery situation!!!...

Re: ID.3 and other MEB battery packs in conversions
I'm looking at using a VW ID4 82kWh pack. With the feedback on the forum here on potential for single cell issues and previous VW battery recalls, I'd like to be able to bring a test set up to the breakers to do some basic checks on the closed pack. Thinking I'll go with SimpBMS or EVS BMS for the p...

Alibro, I'm not too far from you I believe and I have an outlander charger on the shelf and a savvycan setup, so if you can't get the issue figured out soon it could be an option to test with the spare charger to rule out a damaged unit you might have. Sounds like it could be the control side hopefu...
