Engine Replacement
I kept the original gearbox and coupled the front motor to the input shaft. I originally attempted to make the adaptor plate myself along with the coupler, but I failed to be accurate enough.
I was offered the services of a local CNC machinist for the cost of materials so I quickly dropped the motor and gearbox around before he changed his mind. This was the result.
I also mounted the inverter and charger under the bonnet. These could have been mounted further back to make better use of the space. You can also see the power steering pump is mounted there too.
Car Integration
I had to use VCDS to change the softcode to disable the oil temperature sensor.
