Re: Question about 12 Volt "starter" Battery (Please move if incorrect)
Yes I use a large lead acid too, so far. Highest charging current I ever saw was 50 A. Using LFP in the A2 conversion. Never checked what would happen if the cells are low. It is very unlikely as the car draws near 0 standby current and the battery is kept at 14V during driving and charging. There i...

I think the days of Diesel heaters are over with todays battery prices. Who wants that smell back?
These infrared sheets sound great, do you have a link?
The DCDC should be able to supply all loads without the help of the 12V battery

Re: Question about 12 Volt "starter" Battery (Please move if incorrect)
I've been toying the idea to replace my lead battery with 3 NMC cells. They would discharge via a diode (not much load, just car standby) and charged with a 14 to 12 V buck converter. If you have no current draw at all while the car is off or if you don't mind a manual disconnect switch these can be...

Basically throtramp and regenramp is all there is. You could set a low value for regenramprpm to completely disable ramping above a given speed

With firmware 5.35.R you get parameter maxregentravelhz which scales regentravel with speed. The more speed, the more travel. So from standstill you get instant response. While driving it remains the same because otherwise you wouldn't be able to control regen. Before installing the firmware read th...

If you haven't configured CAN throttle or CAN cruise control you can leave these items at 0.

Contribution of other components appreciated, I've started with drive trains that can be used as a template
Also if you find a "softer" introduction to what OI actually is, please bring it on

Re: Renault Zoe (Continental) Inverter Reverse Engineering
Have been going at the inverter again the last few days. Last entity to figure out is the DC/DC converter. It used to run by simply dumping recorded CAN messages but now I cannot get it back up. Inverter turns on and sends its CAN and also draws 750 mA from the 12V battery but then it doesn't put an...

With firmware 5.35.R you can also set ocurlim = -1 on Prius hardware and thereby disable the detection of the MFIV signal.

Sounds not good. Which speed are you running? I've limited to 7500 rpm. syncofs isn't something you back off only something you get spot on or not. Now, since you seem to dare spinning it faster than I do could you try increasing syncadv from 10 (the default) to 11? My finding was the lower syncadv ...

Guys, what are your issues with just keeping the contactors closed? You can always open them by turning the ignition off if needed.

Do you just tap your debit card? Many charge providers in Germany are in raptor mode right now. Tapping your card can be an expensive exercise. And since they charge the same ridiculous prices (like 60-80 ct) among each other roaming has become equally expensive. Only if you use the specific app wit...

Re: Udc and idc increases when throttle is applied
Idc is calculated from AC currents and at low current seems inaccurate.
udc does indeed increase when the inverter starts pulsing, that is down to Nissans board or the way I interface to it.
So far it looks like nothing to worry about

I will need to run some tests locally. I take it you're running 5.35.R on the inverter?
