The version in the pictures has the dedicated clock chip so it will always produce a clock. Newer board versions branch off the STM crystal clock so only work when some firmware is running. They don't have ic7

Re: SDU high current consumptions?
Isn't max temp = 85C? This default value applies to inverters that measure temperature somewhere on the heatsink. This temperature is low pass filtered by the heatsink mass and offset from the igbt core temperature. Now water cooled inverters don't have much of a heatsink so instead they deliver th...

Re: Foccci wakeup/sleep discussions
We are currently in France and we use a Peugeot 208 loaner. I want to express my disliking of coupling the remote control to the charging control. So today I AC charged the car while I went for a walk. When I came back the car still wasn't full so I decided to sit in it and wait a few more minutes. ...

Re: 2008 Nissan Quest Van with Tesla SDU.
You can use the latest 5.35 firmware, it has more gradual temperature derating. If it still cuts out with TMPHSMAX you can disable the derating by setting tmphsmax=120 If you really have insufficient flow rate or air bubbles this WILL KILL your inverter. If your cooling is sound it will just work fine

Re: Commercial Box truck EV Conversion
Hi and welcome!
Accelerating to 100 kph will pull a peak for a few seconds, then it takes maybe 30 kW for a truck to remain at the speed. Even uphills end at some point
Why do you think the truck will do continuous duty operation?

Not directly but you can pick up the ibooster info and put it into the regenpreset field of the inverter control message

Yes and yes. Of course that will loose the DCDC converter because that doesn't run at 48V.
MPP tracking won't be possible as you can measure input or output current.

Yes, just manually match the resting voltage to the rest of the pack. The BMS can't balance out large differences

Re: Question about 12 Volt "starter" Battery (Please move if incorrect)
Yes I use a large lead acid too, so far. Highest charging current I ever saw was 50 A. Using LFP in the A2 conversion. Never checked what would happen if the cells are low. It is very unlikely as the car draws near 0 standby current and the battery is kept at 14V during driving and charging. There i...

I think the days of Diesel heaters are over with todays battery prices. Who wants that smell back?
These infrared sheets sound great, do you have a link?
The DCDC should be able to supply all loads without the help of the 12V battery

Re: Question about 12 Volt "starter" Battery (Please move if incorrect)
I've been toying the idea to replace my lead battery with 3 NMC cells. They would discharge via a diode (not much load, just car standby) and charged with a 14 to 12 V buck converter. If you have no current draw at all while the car is off or if you don't mind a manual disconnect switch these can be...

Re: Accelerator Pedal Initial Tip-in
With firmware 5.35.R you get parameter maxregentravelhz which scales regentravel with speed. The more speed, the more travel. So from standstill you get instant response. While driving it remains the same because otherwise you wouldn't be able to control regen. Before installing the firmware read th...
