Re: How to detect a Type-2 EVSE connection

Ok, but do you use this circuit to also signal to the charger to start or is it just for auxilliaries? Asking because i plan on using PP signal to start aux stuff in my pug and i want to know if i need anything more... Yes the circuit also powers the charger itself. I guess it would work likewise w...

Re: How to detect a Type-2 EVSE connection

Alright yes, basically the Tesla charger board pulls down CP and the circuit I added tries to not alter the CP signal at all but just "reads" it

Nice, now besides EV grin you also have solar grin. Will you also do some sort of energy storage?

Re: Tesla Charger alternative firmware

I think I found a bug in the later firmware versions. As soon as you save the parameters to flash it seems the CAN map is lost on the next reboot. Will investigate this. If in doubt, type can print into the custom command field and send it. This should yield a long output above the parameter table. ...

Re: How to detect a Type-2 EVSE connection

I have integrated above circuit into a Gen2 Tesla charger. So now permanent 12V can be fed in via Pin B12 which is otherwise unused. Its traces are beefy enough to carry the current. CP and GND are stolen from the control board as well. Switched 12V is then send back to what is usually the 12V suppl...

Re: RNL Technology GQEVPLC

We talked to the dealer last week and supposedly they will receive the source codes and employ a software developer to fix these problems. So they will probably receive some documentation, too. Maybe they will give it to me. BTW we tested a bit more on that Veefil station and I looked up the error c...

Re: Open source CCS using AR7420

Wow, that is truly exciting! We really need a full open source implementation of CCS that lets everyone play with it until it works with all chargers. Had some bad experience with a Chinese car (video coming) that only worked on every other charger and would have loved to break out my laptop and fix...

Re: Toyota Prius Gen 2 Inverter Controller

It seems like you've hit the point where you'd need someone stand next to you with a scope in their hand and checking exactly what's going on. With this short feedback loop it'd probably take 10 minutes to get it running or at least diagnose why it isn't. I am out of ideas but like yourself I think ...

Re: Switched ADC BMS

Just put some on order. I've added an extra serial daisy chain for enabling mux control or ADC control on a respective board. Mux, ADC and the 4-channel port extender all run via I2C and I have made the SDA signal differential with a CAN transceiver. The board contains no microcontroller just all 74...

Re: Tesla Charger Support Thread

Yes indeed the CAN messages are sent unconditionally. Is there any input to the CAN transceiver on pin 1? And, silly question, did you perhaps flash some firmware that doesn't belong there? Nothing stops you from flashing stm32_sine to the charger. I think it might even blink the led

Re: Need help with FOC tuning (prius gen2 inv+ gen2 MG2)

I would think that is what happens when you have no load on the motor. Try decreasing throtcur maybe even below 1A to verify this. Also try using idlemode=always and idlespeed=100 to see if you have speed control

Because if there are mutual IDs you need to also distinguish which interface it is coming from

Re: The ZombieVerter VCU Project

Is it so that one cannot have messages with the same id on both the powertrain- and vehicle CAN? Good point. I guess this should be different callback functions. Since powertrain and vehicle CAN may be configured a common handler should be called with the interface number. void CommonHandler(int in...

Circuit diagram is pretty much standard openinverter and there is no known problem like that. Could it just be an issue with encoder or gate driver connection?
