Re: Tool to manage openinverter via CAN
now i have a bad conscience that i asked. I also spent the day yesterday trying. I also found out about the path and it worked. But I failed with the CAN adapter. I am not a computer specialist and I have no idea about linux. I ordered a new wifi CAN module from Johu after I killed mine. Hopefully ...

Re: Tool to manage openinverter via CAN
I don't know where it was installed, how to find it, nor how to specify or change a path. I am using Windows 10 and python 3.13.3

Re: Tool to manage openinverter via CAN
I still haven't managed to get this tool to work. What am I doing wrong? I have installed python. When I enter 'Python' in the comandline something happens. When I enter 'pip' I get a help text. When I type 'pip install openinverter_can_tool' something seems to be installed. And now? If I enter 'oic ...

Re: QCA7000 Foccci+Clara User thread
Not sure about the st-link. According to the wiki, this command line tool should work : https://openinverter.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2907
I read that too, but I seem to be too stupid to install it. I have python, at least I think so. when I enter 'python' in the comandline I get a version ...

Re: QCA7000 Foccci+Clara User thread
Is there a reliable way to transfer parameters to the foccci board without a “web” interface? Maybe with ST-Link?

Re: QCA7000 Foccci+Clara User thread
I have saved an early board from uhi22, version 2023-08-17. The web interface shows a firmware 0.21B. I think this is not the current version
What is the latest version, does it run on this board, where do I get it from, and how do I get it onto the board?

I think I know why things are going wrong with 23s modules. With the 23s modules there is a gap with an invalid value between cell 13 and 14 when reading out the data

Re: 56 Chevy Nomad hotrod
Is there something new, or have we spoiled you? You've done a good job on the Nomad. Is your project going to be based on the Nomad or the C6? Or something of your own? Your initial description was a bit overwhelming and didn't seem to me to be the final concept.

Perhaps it is a program error that no one has noticed until today, because the temperature remains below 120°C in most cases!

Re: [WIP] Caterham Seven - Putting the EV in sEVen
Since only a maximum of 22kW is required for AC charging, the DC2DC converter is far from its maximum. The description states ”
Voltage range for full performance highside 450-850 V”, from which I conclude that lower voltages also work, only with limited power. You probably wouldn't even need to ...

Re: [WIP] Caterham Seven - Putting the EV in sEVen
Can this DC2DC converter also be used as an OBC, perhaps with an additional rectifier? Then the additional weight for the charger can be saved

The LDU board is groundet to the case. Do you ground the LDU at your bench test?

Re: Sound generator possibilities of implementation
I have installed this system. The engine sound is generated by the Audi control unit (black box), which also contains the amplifier. The blue Kufatec box controls the Audi box and needs two CAN bus signals, one for engine speed, one for load. I have programmed the gearbox simulation on an AVR ...

Re: Sound generator possibilities of implementation
Do you just replay fix rpm sound or does it change depending on speed?
[/quote
If the question is addressed to me. The frequency changes with the calculated speed, the sound is load-dependent (accelerator pedal position) It shifts 4 gears, the shift points vary with the accelerator pedal position ...

Re: Sound generator possibilities of implementation
I have integrated audi exhaust loudspeakers. There it is called “active silence”. As my car is old (1950) and I want to preserve the character of the car, I simulate the sound of the combustion engine including the automatic gearbox. This is not a legal problem as long as it is not louder than the ...

A battery box with contactors before output
This corresponds to my design. I have three contactors in the battery box, the BMS, the main fuse and an ISA current sensor, nothing else. Plastic inside, aluminum outside. The low-voltage connections for CAN and the contactors go outside via a molex ...

Re: PTC cabin heater 155x50x230
All depends on your full setup, the biggest issue is any voltage spikes
I don't know which aspect of my setup is crucial. I only have one HV circle. This means that if the contactors are closed after pre-charging, everything is energized and then the heater can also heat up. Do the capacitors ...
