Re: Zombieverter or Lexus GS450h VCU that is the question.
Regen was removed because the throttle code was rewritten. Since at the time the GS450h testbed of Damien was not ready yet and the time he is able to devote to debugging regen is still limited, it is disabled for the time being. So far nobody stepped forward to write and test an implementation, so...

Re: GS450H stops working
Good to hear that your car is up and running again, however as a zombie verter owner myself (yet to finish my conversion) I'm starting to think the zombie for the gs450h at least seems like it is going to be difficult to get fully functional with all the features I was really hoping for (regen for o...

Re: Zombieverter or Lexus GS450h VCU that is the question.
Bummer, I only have the zombie verter controller I bought fully built from Damien. As it seemed like it was supposed to be the "better" (ie "supported") system going forward. So I guess I'll need to be very patient as I have no clue how to code... either that or I buy a old versi...

Hey Seb, your video on the self drive smart roadster is very cool. Awesome work and I might be biased as I own 5 roadsters but I'm 100% with you on it being way better than a Tesla..
Looking forward to seeing what you come up with next!

Re: Zombieverter or Lexus GS450h VCU that is the question.
Just wanted to ask if you swapped-out a "bad" Toyota board within the inverter? Or if you swapped the Toyota part for an open inverter board? Or if you swapped the Zombie controller board with??? Cheers FWIW we finally swapped out to the GS450H Inverter Controller board, and it's been nigh...

Re: Isabellenhuete IVT-S x 3 in Australia.
I have one so far but might need another one e soon as I bought a second gs450h setup not long ago. I got mine from Lars in NL. Pretty fair price too.wovenrovings wrote: βThu Jan 05, 2023 4:45 am Hi @DkubusEV
I'm up in QLD. I am using a leaf motor in a Iload.
Were you interested in a ISA shunt?
Cheers for reply.

I'll jump in to follow along too as I'm also building up a gs450h powered Mercedes Benz slk 1998 (had hole in sump when I bought it).
Good luck with it all.

Is the i3 charge port a USA spec unit? Or a ccs2 European standard type? (Or ate they the same thing?) I'm in Australia so don't know anything about USA spec parts...

So perhaps it was either a loose / intermittent connection or a short circuit/intermittent short circuit or a combination of both. Cheers for sharing the details with us all.

Re: 2012 Camry Inverter AVV50R
Good news. I made a rookie mistake - bad wiring on serial comms. I can now spin the motors using the Camry inverter. Initially got a HS temperature error as soon as I started the motors. TempHS too high.png (My motor temperatures are way off. Will have take a look at some point) I cloned Damien's b...

Re: Outlander rear motor and inverter
This has been asked a few times, you could collect some CAN logs as Tom says or someone with a motor and inverter could just try it - I'm happy to help with this if required. That would be awesome if you have access to either an Imiev and or a Imiev running gear to get can logs from. Unfortunately ...

Re: Outlander rear motor and inverter
This thread is for the Outlander not Imiev. So you need to find some can logs from an Imiev to see if the messages match. Cheers, not trying to hijack or annoy anyone. I started a thread for Imiev a while ago but unfortunately not much info available yet, (other than suggestions telling me that I s...

Re: Zombie-GS450h Synchronous Serial & harness overkill?
Ok so I've finally added the mysterious drain wire loops that travel half way up each synchronous serial cable and then back again towards the inverter plug end where they then hook into the shield braiding within the cables. Again I'm almost sure this is unnecessary however I "think" it's...

Re: Smart Roadster (with Prius Gen3 Inverter and Outlander Rear Motor)
Quick update, got code that compiles cleanly for the STM32F405 :) It's very hacked as I have removed all the stuff to support old board versions and there are still a lot more changes to make to get the IO mapped correctly, rejig the ADC sampling and control loop execution, add the second CAN port,...

Re: Zombie-GS450h Synchronous Serial & harness overkill?
Part of "measuring twice" is to also test fit prior to locking all the cables into the original plastic cable router/holder. Then once all positions are tightened up (zip ties at resolver outlets) and a bit of masking tape to hold placement of speed sensor and valve body harnesses at corre...

Yeah pretty crazy huh. Live and learn, (learn not to give full control to PayPal).
Yeah I noticed it was quite a while ago, let's hope that it'll not happen again in a "community based" environment like the diy world.

Re: Zombie-GS450h Synchronous Serial & harness overkill?
Cheers Mark, I do like they way he explains things. Makes it kinda funny and at the same time reduces people's fears of doing this stuff. All I can say is, it's a good habit to plan, measure twice (at least) and especially when recycling partial factory harness wires and or connectors leave one end ...

Re: GS450h Synchronous Serial & harness overkill?
Rinse and repeat, for each set of resolver cables and respectively thier stator temperature sensors, (I also twisted the temp sensor wires just because I'm in there anyway and perhaps help avoid any interference that could confuse temp readings). Again I doubt it's "required" but it's habi...

Re: GS450h Synchronous Serial & harness overkill?
Adding to the overkill theme, plus I really really dislike the plastic convoluted tubing on wire harnesses (unless it's vital for absolute safety reasons).
