Using Zombie with Leaf Inverter

Post by raisinscry »

I'm running a Gen 2 Leaf motor and inverter setup, controlled by a Zombie. Does the Leaf inverter already measure current internally, or do I still need to add an IVT-S shunt?

From firmware 2.20 you no longer need the IVT-S shunt.

Not correct.

It does not measure current, it only measures voltage, you do not need the IVT-s to do precharge. So you can run the leaf stack without an IVT-s but you would not be able to measure the current draw only the inverter input voltage.

Maybe Greg was referring to Leaf BMS support?
