there has been a wide variety of chademo dc fast changing controllers and software over the years. here you will find links and bits of info on a Varity of these projects. many are legacy projects now, as things like the zombiverter have chademo fast charging integrated in.

legacy evbmw chademo boards:

there are a variety of versions of theses boards, different processors, connectors and software.

gen 1 and 2 boards had localized current and voltage sensing, where the ISA versions uses the ISA shunt.

both the sam and stm32 boards with the molex headers share the same pinout.

The controller requires two Molex plugs and pins. 20 Way plug p/n :33472-2001 12 Way plug p/n:33472-1236 Pin p/n:33012-2002 20 way plug

to bench test the board, apply 12v power and gnd, then pull the proximity input to gnd. the on board relay should switch and you should see a led light on.

final stm32 uses a 35pin ampseal connector:

a few of the legacy stm32 boards have a hardware issue:

some boards came fitted with a bsp75n low side driver. this is the wrong part! in the schematic its marked to be ncv8402. The difference is the bsp75n has the source on the tab and the ncv8402 has the drain on the tab.

isa shunt

the isa shunt is used for voltage and current measurements

the shunt must be programed over can bus to work:
