how to charger testing
Hi, I'm converting from a gen2 charger to a gen3 and have the charger on the table here. Can I put the charger in run mode without a battery to see if it works? The external control unit is pinned and connected. If so, how?

Re: how to charger testing
Depending on what firmware you have on it and board, which you have not mentioned.
https://openinverter.org/wiki/Tesla_Mod ... 5_Software
Run it in "Manual" mode so you can see the values from the 3 phase modules populate in the spotvalues. Then you can move on to providing AC power and HV power.

what is wrong here (Unknown command sequence)
I get the same error message on both (Unknown command sequence ) VCU(2.22A) and Gen3 charger (1.19R) when I go to manual inverter start, but I can't figure out what the problem could be

They both do not support that function. As they both are not inverters.

Re: how to charger testing
Please don't open a new topic (with a meaningless title) for a little sub question.
Chose "inputype" Manual or Manual-3P and maybe set enablepol to ActiveLow to have all conditions out of the way

No reply from modules though... Do the leds on the modules light up?

Yes, the leds lights up
somehow should maybe edit the pin assignment, on the picture from damien even pin 4 is missing, maybe I swapped enable pin with activate pins,
I measured the 12-pin connector
Pin1 0V
pin2 12v
pin3 5v
pin4 1.3v
pn5 2.4v
pin6 5v
pin7 5v
pin8 5v
pin9 3.3v
pin10 3.3v
pin11 3.3v
pin12 0v

Re: how to charger testing
the pin assignment is correct, LEDs lights up, can messages also be sent from the control unit, but the modules do not respond,
What I also noticed is that module 1 and module 2 switch on at the same time, but module 3 switches two seconds later, and the same thing happens when switching off, module 1 and 2 switch off immediately, but module 3 switches two seconds later

Re: how to charger testing
I did another measurement, on the charger side between can high and low we have 118 ohms, between can high and ground 1.68 volts, also between can low and ground 1.68 volts
I'm not sure if I've connected everything correctly, it's not particularly clear in the wiki
is it like the picture right???
