Re: Deleting canbus modules [FINISHED]

Hello all : I’ve just had the car on the road. The power is great! I had a fella shorten the CV axles and that was a joke, they both broke. I had new axles made and they are great! I still need to hack the system to fool it to believe the deleted modules are still there. Suggestions anyone?

Re: Deleting canbus modules [FINISHED]

I have tried to post pictures but, I cannot. I have also tried to download SavvyCAN but, I have yet to find where to down load the program . All the sites I look at seem to be for computer experts that know their way around computer systems

Re: Deleting canbus modules [FINISHED]

What I'm trying to is to get rid of the faults that display on the IPC I want to get the finished car inspected and fear that it will fail .The faults
show up as large printed faults on the IPC . I don't want to see that

Re: Deleting canbus modules [FINISHED]

OK I do have access to the same year of car but, how do Record the data any broadcast messages which would be sent from such as the supplemental restraint system , frunk module , or image processing module , which are no longer connected to the system ?

Deleting canbus modules [FINISHED]

Hello :I'm still at it . I was reluctant to post more questions as some of the responses I received were rather rude but, here I am again.
I got the system from the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-e that I fitted to my 1965 Ford Falcon to actually operate both forward and backward.
I have received enough ...

Re: Electric Falcon

[[/url][/media][/img]I did not modify the connection. I had to remove the big bulky connector to feed the wiring harness through a small hole . Although I reinstalled the wires in their correct order in the connector, the wires in the center of the connector accidentally got shifted by one wiire to ...

Re: Electric Falcon

Contrary to my critics ,I actually got the car to turn on and go into drive and reverse!! The problem was an incorrect connection at the C3133 drive motor connector which prevented the HSCAN FD from connecting . There are still problems but, not I can actually move the car and I can get scan data ...

Re: Electric Falcon

I have the factory wiring diagrams . There are 6 CANBUS circuits : HS1 CAN, HS2 CAN, HS3 CAN, HS4 CAN, HS CAN FD & MS CAN .All of the terminating resistors are in place All of the circuits display the same waveform . I don't know what you mean about ordering a CAN tooling.

Re: Electric Falcon

I have checked and all the terminating resistors are in place .I suspect my having removed/deleted a number of modules has caused the BCM
to go into a programmed "safe" mode. What confuses me is that I cannot get any scan data and a scope connected to any of the CANBUS circuits
displays only about 1 ...

Re: Electric Falcon

I finally figured out the settings for my new scope and saved pictures of the HS CAN 1 and the HS CAN FD .As soon as as I connect the auxiliary battery , a small motor runs continuously in the drive motor . This running motor is creating a waveform that shows up in the HS CAN FD.
The signal I ...

Re: Electric Falcon

I'm still working at my problem but have had no success . I tried reconnecting the Image processing module and the supplemental restraint
module and still the system does not turn on. I purchased a new scanner and it doesn't work either. I also bought a new lab scope but , need to figure out the ...

Re: Electric Falcon

The tried the scanner on a car other than a Mach-e. The scope I was using is an antique. I ordered a new unit as well as a different scanner too.
I will reconnect a number of the deleted modules and retest the system . I will post results with the new scope when i get it connected. A note:
I also ...

Re: Electric Falcon

The mystery continues. I verified that I have a functional scanner as it works on another car . I checked for power to the gateway it is OK .The wiring goes directly from the OBD connector to the gateway and although I thought I might try powering the relay in the BJB, I find that the BCM actually ...

Re: Electric Falcon

I have confirmed that there is no problem with either the 12 volt power supply or grounds on the OBD connector . I will check for power to be switched on by the run start relay#2 in the BJB . I suspect the BCM is not grounding the relay. Perhaps I should try to bypass the BCM and see if the system ...

Re: Electric Falcon

The components I removed I saved in a big box. I could re-install them but, have altered the harness to account for their removal. I have a
Snap-On scanner and I purchased a Forscan OBD adapter and downloaded the program to my computer. The problem I found as soon as I turned
the system on remains ...

Re: Electric Falcon

I purchased the complete salvage car from Copart in San Francisco .Although a write off, it was actually able to to be driven . I welded a broken tie rod and drove it into my shop for the conversion. I installed a section of the rear subframe into my Falcon and fastened the drive motor in place. I ...

Re: Electric Falcon

I live in Lindell Beach BC . Where the heck is that you ask? It is about 60 miles east of Vancouver south of Chilliwack. Sorry I did not do any electric diagnosis today. The weather was nice so, I did some painting on the car where I enlarged the wheel openings for the new rear tires.

Re: Electric Falcon

I am only testing the CANBUS when the auxiliary battery has been disconnected . As to “sniffing” the bus , I don’t know how to do that. I have used the ohmmeter on components I removed and found no terminating resistors . I will insert a resistor and retest .

Re: Electric Falcon

I am seriously confused . Re: Electric Falcon

I cannot get any diagnostics on the touch screen. This afternoon I did perform resistance tests on : HS1 CAN---60 OHMS
HS2 CAN----60 OHMS
HS3 CAN-----61 OHMS
HS4 CAN----62 OHMS
HS CAN FD----120 OHMS
My conclusion is that I am missing a terminating resistor. This an important CANBUS because it ...
