Re: Zombieverter Activity Lights only with Wifi Module

Dodgy connection or bad 5V reg? Thou shall measure voltages. do 12V arrive at the regulator and do 5V come out? Do 3v3 come from the 1117 3v3 reg?

Re: [WIP] 1971 Beetle - Tesla SDU and CATL cells

Hopefully someone out there can help me out with details on how to use these BMS? I'm not sure whether these have been reverse engineered. I'm assuming they are "dumb" modules that report to some main module and executes its balancing commands. You can find code for calculating various hi...

Re: Develop a QCA7000 board?

Finally got around to re-assigning the connector pins and made the flash SPI easier to access. Moved some components around to reflect the new placement also. I'm calling it 4.5b as it is electrically identical to 4.5. Didn't want to burn up another version resistor. Does that make sense? grafik.png...

Anyone? Bueller?
Take the BOM of Zombieverter for example and add its connectors.

I should repeat this here: EVERYONE whos got a forum login can use it for the wiki as well. You don't need special permissions

Good job :)

One things I noticed, the vacuum pump comes on often and could use some turn-off hysteresis. How is it controlled?

Yes, its a remix of Toms code and tailored for 8 modules:

Should be sufficient for grasping the principle and proven to work

Welcome :)

An arduino can hack it. You'd not use 0-5V but rather PWM as that is more common.

When creating new threads use a descriptive title. I've changed it for you

Re: [Driving] Freelander EV With Gen1 Leaf electrics and EVBMW VCU

You could move the "negative" contactor between 48 and 49 and move positive and precharge to the end of the pack. Don't break between 41 and 42, by Murphys law this can and will go wrong

Collection of Part Numbers

Following up on a kind nudge by no one else but The Greg I created a wiki page where we can collect various part numbers for connectors, even if this creates redundancies to the existing detailed board pages.

Re: Volt Contactor Amp Draw

I have clarified this sentence in the wiki. Putting two contactors in series doesn't double their current capability and I'm sure it's not what arber meant to say. They need to be paralleled for double current capability

Re: Am I to dumb for Open Inverter

Leave out all the contactor stuff for now and connect the battery directly to have less room for errors.
FOC itself doesn't care about the voltage but udcsw and udcmin should be set to 0 for the first tests

Yes, that would require much more RAM text data bss dec hex filename 683952 2112 154504 840568 cd378 stm32_ccs Solution would be either try to butcher some redundant stuff or bigger MCU like https://www.digikey.de/de/products/detail/stmicroelectronics/STM32U575RIT6Q/18085716 or https://jlcpcb.com/pa...

Re: Big-Endian CAN mapping

Hmm, the bit order shouldn't be changed at all, just the byte order: word = (bptr[0] << 24) | (bptr[1] << 16) | (bptr[2] << 8) | bptr[3]; I think it should be consistent with SavvyCAN that the position now specifies the "end" of the data item. So little endian bit 0, length 16 becomes big ...

Forgot the obvious: when the inverter is in Run mode it won't save (because it interrupts the control loop). It must be in stop mode. The CAN Ui doesn't report this yet...

Hmm, not sure. It's the Nissan cable 296B1-3NF1A

I assume 35mm² or 50mm². I can only measure cable diameter. Used to charge at 180A on Aral Pulse
