Sorry Tom.
Went yesterday to the shed for a test run but the laptop decided that it wasn’t going to open until Windows 11 installed, so no joy!

So here is the log and Parameters.

Would love to be able to add some regen to assist the brakes!

So your revlim is set to 8000, so yea bump that up for more motor speed.

Off pedal regen can ofcourse be added. try -15 for regenmax https://openinverter.org/wiki/Zombiever ... pot_Values

Also not too sure why your potnom is so low.
image.png
Wait you are driving it with dirmode -1, so reverse selected

Does not affect too much, but you can bump available throttle with "throtmaxRev": 30 -> change this 100 and hold on tight.

If this works then we can add the ability to reverse "forward" for the prius gen3.

I went out with my grandson (handling the logging) and we had a very good drive!

Accelerator is much more receptive.

Regen is brilliant!

Didn’t get above 104kph

Your 8000 revlim seems to still be present. Is that param increased correctly?

Small note on log, we need idc andnot INVudc :)

Look from the data we indeed have reached some sort of Toyota internal Rev limit.

Potnom (throttle) flat and speed stays flat

Not suggesting to test it on the road, but could the "internal" limit only apply for reverse for some reason?
Probaly even too dangerous with wheels off the ground, though I probably hit 150+ with the motorbike wheel at Dublin Maker when some cheeky kid took it out of reverse :D

Brilliant, thanks Tom.
I will charge up the battery pack and do some more runs with logs.

Anything that I can do to help?

Drove the Ghia 18kms from the shed to home in light traffic
and still have 378volts… what fun 😊

Enjoying the regen but noticed that I need to be wary of
snapping quickly off the accelerator as the back of the car wants to
step out of line with rapid deceleration!

Is there anything that can be done (I can do) to get the
Prius to be less juddery when going from reverse to drive and regen brake to drive?
Thanks

The logs are not fine enough to see any judder as far as I can see.

Your regen ramp is already at 1. Wait you are on release 2.15A. Please go the latest release first https://github.com/damienmaguire/Stm32- ... /tag/2.30a

Alot of throttle smoothing updates have happened.

Just updated to 2.30A and then uploaded my saved parameters.
Had to then change from ISA shunt to BMW safety.

I noticed that drive is now reverse and reverse is now drive on my gear stick.

Unfortunately the car now doesn’t move… what have I missed?

With a direction selected to you see the potnom param increase when plotting it?

You logs indicate that selection a direction generates a torque request. This is strange, did you fully power cycle (12V removed from everything) after the update?

Yes, I removed 12volt and then restarted.
I thought it strange!

Thanks

So even after a 12V power cycle it does not work.

Can you please try a release that is older? like V2.22A or 2.20A It is possible a change I made for the testing Greg was doing in his VW Rabbit causes issues for your setup.

Thanks Tom, will do. I’ll contact Greg and check what release he is using.
The only odd thing I noticed was that drive is now reverse and reverse is now drive on my gear stick.
