I'm using a is300h inverter with a gs450h gearbox.
I've driven about 120km so it works. But I'm having some issues. (This is my 1st conversion so likely wiring issues )
I can only get 125 amps from MG2. 320V
I can't go faster than 85km/h (4000rpm) then it's like a rev limiter kicks in.
I'll start by making sure the wiring is shielded and not running over the HV cables (thanks for the advice on discord)
an extra couple of thoughts have come to me...
1. Which inverter have you selected in the zombie gs450h/300h? as the code that is sent to the inverter is different.
2. Is your driveshaft locked yet?
3. there is a difference between the 300/450h transmissions in of the mg1:mg2 ratios i'm wondering if this mismatch is causing one to get dragged and hence acting like a rev limiter, (i can find the code gs450h in zombie but not the corresponding code for 300h).

Thanks for the excellent advice
1. I've selected the 300h inverter option in Zombieverter.
2. The driveshaft is locked
3. Oh I see. In 450h the torque request ratio is (MG1/MG2) is around (2.29/1.9). In 300h it is around (2.6/3.3) - Pretty much 5/4 vs 4/5
I'll change the code and have a go tomorrow.
if that doesn't work it maybe worth unlocking the driveshaft (i know a pita, but a price for development work ) that way we can isolate any issues to do with that, however i would wait till you get shielded cable first because otherwise you will be changing too many things at once.

Hi Zechy, did you have a change to test it? I'm gonna use a gs450h and not sure if I could use other inverters, from Toyota, apart of the list:
- G9200-30040
- G9200-30061
- G9200-30051
- G9200-30040
- G9200-30030
- G9200-30180
- G9200-30170
Seems the ones for Ls300h or Toyota Prius/Yaris/Auris are much more cheaper.

Hi Tachopis
I don't have enough information yet to confirm the list. I only have a Camry and is300h inverter.
I'm trying to get G9200-30130 to work at the moment.
I've had some success with Camry G9200-33172 but not there yet.

Great, thanks. Are you using a gs450h engine/gearbox for this test? or are you gonna try with the ls300h?

What is your differential ratio, And wheel diameter please
Also the comment 2. driveshaft is locked .....I take it this refers to the input spline , where the clutch like damper attached to the original ICE.

Issue resolved. I changed the tmphs code as suggested on the BMW Z3 discussion from 16bit to 8bit: temp_inv_water=int8_t(mth_data[20]);

hi sorry to be asking a totally ignorant question. im still sourcing parts and figuring out how they connect to zombie verter;
in the zombieverter interface, are you selecting inverter as is300h and just connecting the gs450h directly to the inverter or do you have to select an option in zombie to tell it the gearbox is a gs450h?
( i have purchased an IS300h CVT gearbox and wondering what inverter i can use )
