Heavy torque cut in low gear GS450h & Zombieverter
Re: Heavy torque cut in low gear GS450h & Zombieverter
Tom I am not sure what you mean you saw the earlier plots. ok there were no scales for you to see but they are completly different. Do you want me to record some spot values of me driving at 70MPH on a road somewhere? I am happy to do so if it puts your mind at rest.
How would you like me to proceed?

Can you use savvycan on the bus the SBox is on and attach a log?

Thanks for that Tom please don't waste anymore of your time and energy on this.
It seems you don't even accept my word that the car has worked in high gear.

Okay I will let you be. I work based off measurements and graphs. Only this works in my experience, but you do you.
Re: Heavy torque cut in low gear GS450h & Zombieverter
Thanks for the help Jamie. I am done with this. I am cutting my losses and moving on. I spend most of my time thinking and trying to resolve the problems I have had with the car.
I have wasted the last 3 years and god knows how much money trying to get finished.
All I wanted was an affordable electric car.
Ironically I can go out and buy a 3 year old Peugeot E208 for about £11000 today.

I'd appreciate a log if you could still get one? Interested if there's a bug in the UI for scaling or if the SBox is reporting the funky values too.

I am convinced those values are because the car was at 260V as the earlier plots did not show the "funky" behaviour. But hey what do I know.
Its listed on fleabay from 19.00.
Re: Heavy torque cut in low gear GS450h & Zombieverter
Just to clarify, does udc control charging or voltspnt. You implied that i was overcharging my batteries because udclim was set at 380 are you THICK.
Also despite the fact that you are aware that setting THROTRAMP to 0.09 will stop the car from driving, it is still the default low setting in the firmware.bin we must use. If i set the recommended default settings to lowest recommended my car does not drive. What if some one else out there is trying to get their car moving by using recommended settings.
If I set the highest recommended parameter settings I am stupid.
Further, you say, why am I setting the udc and the Idc to max default settings. Are you saying they are unsafe and if so why are they the suggested max settings.
By the way having set the parameters to the SUGGESTED max settings it made no difference and it did not blow anything up.
Yes I am having a rant and I am sure that I will be chastised for my behaviour.
You called into question that "I have driven the car for 300miles in high gear" as if it was untrue. Do you actually think I am lying.
I can only say that in my journey with this project I have encuontered problems of my own making I have also encountered software issues with the zombieverter. My first problem was bench testing a leaf stack. When reverse was selected and throttle applied the motor would run. Putting the throttle to 0 did not stop the motor. It was a software error.
As you know I could not get my motor to turn because i "foolishly" thought setting the parameters to the default minimum was a safe thing to do.
People like you think you know it all, but consider this. What if the software which you use idiots like me to test does have a fault in it or the person installing does not install things quite the way the wiki suggests and someone gets hurt or killed, don't think that the open inverter thing, "use this at your own risk" absolves you from responsibility.
Probably the thing that grates me most is that you are a "professional" doing this, you actually sell conversion components including charging and vcu products.
I know I am wasting my time and I will be ridiculed on the discord server and I will be laughed at as a bloke who has not got a clue about what he is doing. But that is the point, maybe I don't. You don't know anything about me, what I did for a living, what my skill set is.
Oh the joy of forums, judging people, chastising people demeaning people. All from the safe distance of a keyboard and monitor. What a world.

Have a think about this, have you paid me for anything?
Please note who on the forum is providing support, I do this because I believe in the Open Inverter approach. This is all my own time with me also sinking money into improving the projects.
I am sorry but you not listening and following instructions just does not work for projects like EV conversions.

I was asked to check this thread. It seems to go nowhere so locking up.
