CCS controller and inlet is in. Kit at eDubs posted a video before I picked her up.
Next I need to improve the brake pump with the vacuum sensor I got from Citini, then it will be time for an interior.

New vacuum sensor from Citini (attached to the blue manifold). Works a treat - I am now getting about 7 seconds pump run time every 24 seconds, which may indicate a slight vacuum leak but it will do for now.

Glad to see them in the wild, switches are quite finicky compared to a digital solution.

Re: [DRIVING] 1978 VW T2 Camper
Hi DaveH, just scanned through your build posts. I’m at the start of my VW conversion so it’s good to see someone reach the other end!
Can I ask whether it went ok with the dvla in the end? You’ve obviously got a super clean, as new looking vehicle. I’m debating what level of restoration to go for, but I can see it might make the inspector more inclined to pass it if he thinks the vehicle overall is in good shape. Or do you think they have a narrow focus on just the EV bits of the vehicle?
2nd question is are you happy with the brake vacuum pump? Would love to have a link to what you bought if possible. Any changes you’d do if you did it again?
Are you using it regularly now? What’s your range like?
Cheers
Ian

Re: [DRIVING] 1978 VW T2 Camper
Apologies for the delay, I haven't been on here for ages.
I think as long as it's MOT worthy you should be ok. The inspector didn't spend very long looking at it, he asked a few questions, looked at the subframe to make sure it was properly mounted. I think he had a quick look at the wiring but didn't ask to open up the battery box or anything.
The brake pump is fine, it does a better job than the engine did but the noise can be annoying. I have the one that Fellten sell but didn't use the relay or vac switch.

I still haven't used the van that much, just finishing off the interior now and there have been a few software updates and parameter tweaks to get it right. I'm pretty happy with it now. I get about 3.3 miles/kWh but obviously it depends how you drive it.
