I like how you label your bins directly. Not on a label, no, right onto the bin. Because you're a realist. You know that the bin will never be repurposed. That would imply that the purpose of a bin that holds things, is for the things in the bin to eventually be removed from the bin and used. No no, there's confidence in this hording. This is the bin that holds wires. It will never not hold wires.

The bin is less of a container to temporarily hold something, and more of a sarcophagus to entomb it for maybe thousands of years.

Should've grabbed a Prius pedal while you were picking and/or pulling.

This is one of those items that is perplexingly hard because of how easy it is. People will say stuff like "Oh, plenty of vehicles use digital pedals these days, any will work." Well I can't go to a store and buy an "any'. I can't go to a junkyard and remove it from an "any". It's common enough people don't want to list what makes/models because it feels wasteful, but not common enough that someone who didn't know exactly what to look for wouldn't waste most of their time and be frustrated.

I feel like it would be better to say "Dozens of vehicles use these. Here's 6 of the most common vehicles sold that are already 10-15 years old in junkyards to take them from, each is a little different depending on what you'd like, all will work." That's something someone can ask for, shop for, or look for themselves.

The only reason I have a Prius pedal is because it was literally the only vehicle anyone listed by name that had a suitable pedal. Maybe it's the worst of the options available, maybe it's the best. I don't know.
Challenge Accepted!

Hey Gregski, I'd like to ask you a question that I haven't found by diving into your posts and videos. You started by installing the Tesla PCS charger with DCDC; are you still using it? Because I think you've been trying other solutions, right? I would like to install it in the Jag I'm converting, with Damien's controller, but I can't find many examples where everything (Charger and DCDC) worked without issues. If you're not using it, could you tell me why? Thanks dude, soooo cool truck you have ;) a loooot of work I know.

Btw, what was pedal #2? I hacked my straight Prius pedal into almost exactly that shape because I didn't know there was something like that out there.

As the Lead Fabricator, we are expecting from you the complete confidence to fabricate no matter the time, the cost, or the fact that every day we are surronded by parts exactly like the one you are about to fabricate.

You're aware that I "machined" a coupler by spinning it up full speed on the motor, and then easing a 7" circular saw blade into it yes?

Somewhere, deep down inside, you have standards. They're there, I know they are.

And mine are lower.

What do you think happened to the last "lead fabricator"? it's a job that requires a particular willingness...

They just built one about the same distance from my house, and despite 5-10 paved acres, didn't put in any charging infrastructure. And its on a route that needs more anyways!

well that sucks, ours did not get a gas station so everyone is bent about that, but it shares a parking lot with Chevron

Yeah ours got a gas station despite being the lot next to a gas station that has plenty of pumps. In fact, we got the suburbia trifecta: Costco, Chick-Fil-A, and Starbucks all on one lot/development, but of course spread all over the place.
