I agree with yaroslav, this is super interesting to me. The scalability especially.
Thank you for sharing, and look forward to seeing more.

13.25kw LTO replacement pack. Constructed using Toshiba modules, blasphemously bearing 'Honda' trademarks. Occupies roughly 2* the space as the original NiMH pack, in the back. Runs at 240V nominal. 10C all day long. Love those LTOs. How is this battery configuration working out for you? I saw the ...

The highest oil temps recorded under the most severe testing that ORNL conducted as sited in the report linked above by ZooKeeper were in the 80ºC range. Dow-Kokam... Interesting. Is there a thread for more info on this pack construction?Kevin Sharpe wrote: ↑Mon Jul 27, 2020 8:07 pmYes, they're currently used in BEXUS but about to be replaced with a Kokam pack.
The Red Arrow also used Valence batteries iirc.

Say, we need one of those Children's Miracle Network style commercials for Damien. For just $3.33 a day you too can support a struggling Open Source developer in a foreign country.. But seriously. $100 / month is a steal for what Damien is contributing to this community and the world. We need more b...

Re: Lexus GS450H VCU Support Thread
Hi I'm new to the forum and I'm currently in posession of a transmission and inverter from a Lexus LS600HL. I'm thinking of purchasing a gs450h VCU for my conversion. Has anyone tried the VCU With the LS600HL inverter yet? This is off-topic for this thread. Please start a new thread to discuss this...

Re: 4-channel BMS with daisychain bus
For anyone building their own version of the Huebner BMS, I've just corrected a couple of errors in the Isolator BoM (RS485 Version). The crystal should be 11.0592MHz and the processor should be an ATMEGA88P. @Johu, I missed sonachan1's update quoted above by a few days, and consequently built 10x ...

Interesting. This would be useful for locking the input shaft. What is that input yoke from? Part number? From an european spec Toyota Previa. I think that spline is very common among larger Toyotas as I believe it also matches the Previa's clutch. This is worth investigation. Anything branded LEXU...

Watched some video about French regulatory boards and now I understand more why you have to go to such great effort to design a solution other than simply welding. But it seems that if the welds are done by a certified welder. It should be fine. No?

Re: 4-channel BMS with daisychain bus
Yes the wifi is just for configuration and firmware upgrade. Also you can see individual cell voltages and other things that wouldn't make much sense to constantly put on the CAN bus That's cool! Will make a good BMS to those who might want to use it for 'Power-Wall' or possibly dual purpose, like ...

In regards to the transaxles, the AHV40 Camry's typically have a P311 trans and a 04A axle, and the AVV50R Camry's typically have a P314 trans and a 03A axle. I assume to use those transaxles standalone, you'd need to weld the planetary gears, or can the input shaft just be locked off? I'm assume t...

I am in awe of your desoldering skills @Bigpie. I turn connectors to goo even with a hot air gun. Don't use a hot air gun. Use a junked toaster oven. Disable the top heat element. Place an 8mm-ish thick aluminum sheet in the oven that will allow the door to close. Install one of these: `https://www...

I was considering doing that to a gen2 Prius, but the cheapest one I could find was 3500€. Sheesh. There are dozens in my neck of the woods for around that same price, but there are also many that have ICE or NiMH problems, or both for much much less. I would have gone the "out-of-gas-mode + t...
