Hi, yes, it is an SR motor, Switched Relucatant motor and needs a controller that reads the hall sensors in the motor.
I am working on such controller because I need one in my Saab 9-3 cabrio, which has a full Leaf stack.

On the Leaf this motor is controlled by the VCM.

Ok. I know about the different protocol but I'm positive the EVMS can be reflashed to V3. If not I'll source a V3 or have one made as they are open source now. But i'll take care of that.
