Got the sprocket adapter welded up and mounted on the HSG.

Turned down a KXF250 sprocket on the lathe and had JLCCNC whip up a press fit adapter piece to mount a proper 530 sprocket at a reasonable distance from the HSG. Just needs to get welded up now.
Decided to try to fix the OEM ICE motor to run for at least one more season so I've spent most of this ...

Got a cheap Prius inverter and ordered Damiens dual motor board, hopefully I can get that to work with the KIA HSG. Picked up another HSG with the spline instead of woodruff key, working on an adapter for that to run 530 chain sprockets ...

Took a Kia HSG apart, figured someone else might be curious to see how it looks inside. And I wonder if anyone has any idea how to get the stator out of the waterjacket and casing?

The car split in half. Next step is to do some proper scans of the engineroom and finalize the subframe design. The diff arrived today aswell.

OEM ICE motor in the car sprung an oilleak and I'm pretty sure it's dead so now I have to speed up the progess on this project. Have spent a fair amount of time in CAD designing a KIA HSG/Suzuki Hayabusa hybrid package, started ordering some of the custom parts for it ...

Picked up a rusty mx5 rear subframe. Need to wire brush off some more rust and then 3d scan it.

Not a lot of progress on the car, been using it a lot now that the weather is nice. But I've done some stuff. Car got a sparco bucket seat too.

Got the engine out of the bike and started taking the car apart for more scanning. Leaning towards trying to run with the Kia HSG to start off with, if I manage to let the magic smoke out of it I'll pick up a beefier motor.

I've already been in touch with SFRO (The Swedish association of vehicle builders, the governing body for homebuilt vehicles) and they don't seem concerned about emissions. Reading the rulebook it seems like I might have to run ethanol, but not sure.

Should be fine to run the MG2 with a bike engine just by removing the MG2 planetary carrier and welding those two gears together, and then welding the MG1 planetary solid. Will be a lot of heavy pointless steel spinning, but it should work ...

Picked up one of these for a project and threw together a rough CAD model. Just done using calipers in front of the CAD computer, not based on a laserscan or anything so double check the measurements before you use it.
