Oil pump might be a problem, when running backwards. I think nissan just throws the oil arround the housing. Not sure if it will work backwards. Also the gears and the bearing are propably designed for running more forward then backward

Re: [DRIVING] VW Touran powered by Nissan Leaf [FINISHED]
Would be interesting to fit your data to a curve . But before maybe you should improve the cooling of your battery. Losing 2C in 80min with the heat capacity formula you can calculate the energy dissipated by convection. For convection https://www.schweizer-fn.de/stoff/wuebergang_gase/wuebergang_gas...

Re: [DRIVING] VW Touran powered by Nissan Leaf [FINISHED]
We are now about 14 C measured compared to 12,5 C calculated, right ? What I gave you with 900 was the heat capacity for Aluminium . NMC s are in literature with 800-1000. I think measured current and voltage loss is better then internal resistance as this changes much more over time . Other effect ...

Re: [DRIVING] VW Touran powered by Nissan Leaf [FINISHED]
mea culpa. 255 J/s --------------------------- = 255 / 256 /900 * °C/s = 0,0011 °C / s = 4 °C / h 256kg * 900 J/ (kg * °C) 2400 ---------------- * 15 * 60 = 9,4 °C / 15min 256 * 900 I understand, this is only for the internal losses of the battery. What is the total voltage difference between chargi...

Re: [DRIVING] VW Touran powered by Nissan Leaf [FINISHED]
So 1.48 mOhm per cell, should be 0.74 mOhm per cell pair, times 96 71 mOhm. Driving at 20 kW would be about 60A. So 60²*0.071=255W power loss. That's where my knowledge ends, how do you calculate how much temperature that puts into the 256 kg of mass? 255W * 256 kg * 0.90 J/g ° C for Aluminium give...

Re: Foccci integration with OBCs
OK, let’s wrap it up from user perspective. So specific for my project I would like to use a CCS charge port of an ID.4 together with a Nissan Leaf PDM for AC charging and a FOCCCI for DC charging . Wished behavior: I open the charge door and a switch triggers wake-up for BMS , OBC and FOCCCI. When ...

I like your software approach. Are you aware of : https://github.com/collin80/GEVCU7 . Quite similar approach and the most mature SW architecture I now for EV conversions. There are more https://github.com/mumme74/CarTransporter with good approach for PID, https://github.com/jamiejones85/ESP32-Chade...

Tesla temperature sensor
Hello,
I am currently designing a derivate of the outlander ECU , which I will publish soon. I want to consider also the ability to measure coolant temperature. Do you have an idea, what kind of temperature sensor, Tesla build in ther coolant sensors?

Sooner or later I also will need such a pack , maybe with 12 8s modules. I still need to determine size and weight .
However maybe we can team up, to bring the packs from UK to Germany. Feel free to PM me.
Best regards Felix

Which wiring diameter does the Tesla SDU Rear Unit have? I got some 50mm² cables with fitting connectors, but they they FJB Side on them.
I will add the information to the wiki, if somebody can confirm.
