Re: Dual Leaf batteries with ZV

I have a muxsan leaf, I believe the Cambridge mitm does a check to verify that the two packs are within a small enough delta to prevent arcing and current surge. The big danger IMO is welded contactors and then a potential runaway event from this. There are a few folk doing this successfully in the ...

Re: MG Charger Hacking

Thanks for the links Jamie, I bought two of the DC and one of the ac for the mg5 charger from your superbuy links. Haven't yet managed to make myself a taobao account as my Chinese is weak and thus searching for the mg zs charger parts is pretty damn impossible.

Just phoned mouser thinking the £46 price tag was for 224 factory pack of flanges. Nope it was for one. Wow.

Might do the thingyverse thing. Might have a look at your Chinese website suggestion

Mg5 obc connector flange is OK. Just the zs one on one of. I have a full loom for the zs but I could do with a 2nd or replace for custom connector. Will need an mg5 loom too or the connectors

Re: MG Charger Hacking

I've taken the plunge an bought 2 2020 (gen1) obcs from an online breaker. Due to some initial shenanigans I've lucked out and they are now sending me a third as connectors have damage on one.

My plan is to upgrade the 1ph charger on my e-nv200 to 3ph. I may use the bonus one to augment my 2011 ...

Re: EV MPPT for E-Golf 2020

What you have is similar to James at realsolar cars. His system is 300w (limited i think by the transformers he could source, though i might have that wrong)
Anyway i believe his system only works whilst the car is running for safety reasons.

I have been musing this too for my env200 when camping ...

hey big pie. do you mind me bring my pack to you in the env200 and applying your fix to the muxsan pack? I dont like the idea of taking the cells apart like the bike guy on ESphere, his soldering of the cell link left alot to be desired. (ok on a bike that you can jump off of and run away from ...

Love this build. We hired a previa to go camping from bumble campers in the uk. My boys 4 and 5 at the time loved it as the car looked like a bee.
I really like the photos of you charging next to the very pricey oem evs, makes me smile.

That is rubbish news. Let me know when you find new digs with Landlords not playing the game of kicking out the tenants just to up the rent. I will help you shift your tools/ parts etc. imagine the env200 will cope well with that task.
