Re: Charger difference

I believe it hasn't been proven 100%, but Damien had a Chinese market charger and was able to re-code it to Europe via ODIS, VCDS is also an option. Some details on coding are in the other forum items related to the PHEV and E-Tron charge threads. Wiring diagrams seem to indicate that the GBT port a...

Re: MLBevo Charger- 11kw & 22kw Info

Try 20103 for the security code; I thought I documented it above but looking back I may not have.

Mongoose seems the easiest and cheapest ( $30 for a knockoff unit that can do J2534)
VAS6154 adapters seem to run ~$60.

Re: Omit Wifi module on inverter boards and lower price?

Another option is to keep the physical space on each inverter board, but move to a D1-Mini footprint, ESP32 D1 carrier boards are $4ea, and can be fitted much like the previous olmex module was. Still keeps the legacy ability to fit, without much added inventory (just keep a few modules in stock and...

Re: $50 model 3 inverter scam?

I actually ordered 2 from this same retailer. Assume they're E-Waste... And Unlikely they're the 980 version. Of the two I ordered, one was a 980 (yay?), the other was a 960 (front) PCBs were damaged to the point where I wouldn't really put HV on them without going thru some serious confirmations. T...

LDU Overcurrent - Items to Check

Writing a post to summarize some of my own troubleshooting with regards to a V5 LDU board starting for the first time. Not sure the root cause of the issues, other than the fixes performed. The core take away from this is that I know the forum has many instances of Overcurrent alarms, and we're all ...

LDU First Spin!

Managed to spin the LDU using Can-Bus control via the Zombie VCU.
Rev Gauge uses 650 RPM for 'idle' with the motor RPM shown as RPM/2 to correctly scale with the 9,000 RPM redline.

Excuse my Mess of a workbench!

Re: Volt gen2 BMS

I've been meaning to probe the internal canbus of the Gen2 module to see if the signals are similar to the Gen1. Would make sense that they integrated the Gen1 modules into a single unit; seems there's an interface controller on the front end. Been a while since I poked around with the board, but I ...

Re: Volt gen2 BMS

Can confirm the Spark pack uses the same BMS as the Volt Gen2, but interestingly enough it seems they use a Gen1 VSTM module to provide additional Cell Temp inputs; all the cells go back to the main BMS, but 2 cell temps feed into the VSTM (From what I recall) I'd also be interested in what you've c...

Hey Seb. The component protection and immo is detailed in some of the VW SSPs it just notes that the module is involved in both aspects. A good start is to pull some of the Ross tech forum posts to see what details they have being pulled from each module. I was hoping that the component protection a...
