Hello i´m Jürgen from Germany.
Since 5 years i drive Kia NiroEV and EV6 and finally i bought one of my Lifetime favorite Cars - a VW T3 Doka
Now i´m in the second thoughts of "should i convert it into a EV?"
It would be just a projekt, i dont need it, its just for fun- so its not important how fast it charges or how far i can drive. But the costs should be in a manageable framework. I know it will be expensive, but i hope it will be below 15k €
Right now i think the setup should be: Leaf drivetrain, VW battery, perhaps Tesla engine/ batterys
I like the flat design and the possibility to build the batterypack underneath the frame. But it would be easier and cheaper to buy a complete Leaf and use the battery too. Does anyone know of any other alternatives?
I´ve saw a lot of videos, read a lot, bought "Deep Dive EV Conversion" but there is still a question.
Wich VCU i need?????????
The Thunderstruck is cheap, but ist just for the engine- so a need another for the BMS?
The Resolve ist just for Nissan - so not compatible to VW battery?
The Zombieverter is difficult to programming?
And for what is Johannes`Leaf Controller???? (Youtube Lab Update #20: Leaf Controller swap) Did i get it right i still need a VCU?
Which makes sense if I start with a Leaf battery and later switch to a VW battery?
Best regards
Jürgen
