I'm interested in starting a conversion using a Tesla SDU. I have the car and have read a lot on this forum and others but have a question about acquiring the motor.
When buying a Tesla SDU from a wrecking yard or similar, what other ancillaries are suggested? Should I be asking for any wiring connectors? I understand that getting the Tesla axles may be useful depending on the vehicle I am to mate it with. Any other suggestions regarding what I should be looking for or asking when seeking a used SDU? I assume any year model works the same out of a S-model Tesla, is this correct?
Sorry if this has been asked already, I was not able to find the answer quickly. Thank you for contributing to this forum, it is very useful.

wiring harness with connector to inverter
CV axles
whole subframe depending on the car
regarding the LDU, pretty sure 2013 was the year Tesla made some change that made the LDU more reliable. IIRC many pre-2013 units had to be rebuilt.. can't remember what component it was though, and not sure if this applies to SDU.
