Looking for EM57 Mechanical Drawings

I have a friend at a local Machine Shop that can make the adapter plate I need.
What we need is the Mechanical Drawings for mounting to the motor.
(Yes, it would be possible to measure the motor - but less accurate and FAR more time consuming.)
Anyone have a the drawings needed?

A google or wiki search would have easily found this but here it is.

Yes, it would, and I had found those, though the only files found there are SDLPRT files which are some sort of Microsoft Proprietary format.
I did finally find a tool that can view it - but not being a Solid Works user, I have no idea how to even SEE the dimensions and locations of the holes.
My friend is looking for a more traditional dimensional drawing.
We only need a flat drawing with relative hole locations.

Are you looking for x,y coordinates or like a dxf that you could send to be laser/waterjet? If it's a SolidWorks file you could probably open it with a viewer or upload it to Onshape and make a drawing to your liking. SLDPRT isn't anything to do with Microsoft as far as I know, it's just the default extension for a Solidworks part file.
EDIT: Ah, yup, looks like Onshape will handle it just fine.

When I searched for SDLPRT, one of the sites listed it as a MS proprietary format.
Ok, if I get Oneshape - is it possible to have it fill in ALL the relevant measurements, or is that a semi-manual process?

I don't know if it does auto dimensioning but if it did I would expect more nonsensical dims than useful ones. To place those dimensions in the screenshot was just a couple clicks. Click the hole and it gives you diameter. Click two holes and move the mouse up or to the side and it will give you the horizontal or vertical distance between centers.

Once you have an OS account you can access the workspace by this link:X
Then you can copy it into your own workspace to edit it if you like.
I would double check the crap out of these dimensions though, I just pulled them directly from the model and I dont know if the holes are threaded or not, and a sanity check to make sure it imported with the right scale and matches your motor would be needed.
This is called 'ordinate' dimensioning and uses the coordinates of the center hole (motor shaft) as 0,0 on an x-y grid. Machinists will understand.

Thanks! That may be good enough. I'll go verify it with my motor, and figure out which holes were threaded and which weren't.

My plate files are on my git hub, which is linked in the wiki, and on my website. The posted drawing is my first iteration of the adapter plate.
it sucks to see my part designs being passed around with all references and attributions removed.

Note that I was just looking for the EM57 mechanical spec, seems like those be available somewhere.

Oh, sorry about that. Took it down.

I read it as Bratitude was looking for credit listed on it. I may have misread his intentions..

Probably. I think I should have put the url in a text box at the bottom of the screenshot.

Yes just credit. As with all open source developments….
build it own your own if you like, but start passing it around with the source removed?
Makes me want to just pull everything down and stop sharing
(Note I’m not ripping on any one, just a general rant, I don’t see any bad intentions here)
Any ways…. Things are in the wiki, use the wiki. update the wiki. Love the wiki. promote the wiki. Stop using forum threads that will just get buried for
menial well documented info!

Indeed, no bad intentions on my part. Being somewhat new to the open source community I'm still learning the etiquette and how to properly contribute. I get pretty excited when I think I'm able to contribute in any useful way, haha.
