Nissan leaf stack and amperage

Post by Slimjimmy »

Hello I’ve been reading and looking around for a while now although haven’t seen any clear info on a few things.

1. Is the PDM needed to run the inverter and motor? I plan to use the leaf motor only as a on demand boost and use the factory installed ice engine to regen and charge the batteries.

2. Is there a maximum amperage the leaf system can be ran at? I’d be looking at around 640 amps using a 250v LTO battery pack and the160kw inverter

1. No the pdm is not needed for operation
2. No idea on max Amps. I've seen the leaf em61 motor and a custom inverter running 400hp.
