i'm attempting to bolster the wiki page for the sake of making pcs troubleshooting easier and more specific
for one, is this sticker on the top of the PCS some kind of market indicating hardware revision? or just a production serial number?
This is on my PCS, out of a 2020 model 3, my working theory is the last 3 digits are the hardware version, in this case [01-C], and the first section is the core part number, [1135558]
For comparison, here the same sticker from a bunch of different PCS' listed on ebay
From a 2018, going by the tag. [01-C]
This is also from a 2018 [01-C], but im almost certain its a duplicate listing of the above 2018 since it has the same orange streak, im wondering if the seller double-tagged it by accident or something?
This MIGHT be from a 2019, the listing doesn't say beyond a single mention of 19 for the year [00-D]
from a 2019 for sure [00-C]
from a 2021 M3 [04-A]
and this is from a 2022 model year [04-A]
Also from a '22 [03-D]
For another, is there a way to query the PCS for its internal tesla firmware version? or is that entirely opaque from the user perspective?
the web interface has this, but i believe that's just the open source controller's firmware version
Model 3 PCS identifying markings? finding onboard firmware version?
Re: Model 3 PCS identifying markings? finding onboard firmware version?
Gonna keep finding PCS' on ebay and posting model year + what i think are the part numbers, a pattern may yet emerge
