Classic Car Dashboard

Post by jerrykco »

I have been looking for a simple Can Bus dashboard for my MGB.
I'm defining Classic as any car without all the newer electronics.
I found these in China.
Has anyone looked at connecting the Can Bus to one of these or similar?

I was thinking to use STM32-Car
Plus connecting the various 12v signals for Headlights, turn signals etc.

Yep. And I got the battery setup as two 24 packs ready for installation too.

If anyone needs it, I requested the instructions/CAN documentation from Speedhut for their new EV specific gauges. I can send you the PDF, just let me know. Looks like it would be exceptionally simple to use with Open Inverter, their Orion gauges use little endian, and the documentation provides the IDs, start bit, bit length, scaling, offset, signed/unsigned, essentially everything needed to set them up on the sending side.

I'm hoping to buy a set once funds allow.

If at first you don't succeed, buy a bigger hammer.
