With where your charge port is, you can mess with any jerks whining about you can't park here. Just tell 'em that you're charging your 12v battery.

I love technology, you literally saw me charge at a ChargePoint public station, yet here is my Charging Activity according to them, so yeah, convert to electric, cause charging is FREE

so it literally took a month to get my gauges back from Inellitronix and I don't mean from the day I sent them but from the day they received them, October 2nd to today October 31st when they arrived on my door step

Yes it was FedEx, yes it was...

IMG_8911.JPG

so turns out I had to buy a brand new Speedometer and a brand new Tachometer since my old ones were too old and not worth fixin'

Learn and Live I recon !

so now we were able to configure the Tachometer to display the tens digit so show something like 5430 instead of just 5400 type of thing, that's what this 8880 means
IMG_8916.JPG

as well as go up to 9990 RPM instead of just 6000

Tesla Superchargers - we can NOT use

so we ask, and hopefully answer the question, can anybody charge at a Tesla charging station here: Newb Asks: Can anybody just charge at a Tesla public station? but forgive me if we have some overlap among the threads

to answer this question we must level set, so first of all not all Tesla charger were created equal, I think most of us think of these types of see through beauties when we think of Tesla chargers
tesla-charger-scaled (1).jpg

and rightly so, but these are not just chargers, these are SuperChargers, and they are NOT for us, non Tesla owners!

Tesla Destination Chargers - we can use

Besides Tesla Superchargers, Tesla owners can also take advantage of the company’s network of Destination Chargers. Destination Chargers are installed by Tesla’s ‘Charging Partners.’ pronounced "Hotels"

Charging Partners are usually business or land owners who choose to install a Tesla Wall Connector on their property for public use.

Destination Chargers have a slower charging speed than Superchargers. Depending on how much charge is left on your Tesla’s battery, a Destination Charge can take anywhere from one to 12 hours to fully charge your vehicle.

so armed with this new found knowledge NFK, we set out to find ourselves a hotel with a Tesla Destination Box

and I decided to do this the old fashion way and just drive around and explore the hotels in our area [yes I do have the Plug Share app, among 19 others]

first on the list was Hampton Inn Suites and it sure didn't pass muster, do better Hampton Inn do better

You're slowly exiting the "slap shit together and see if it sticks" stage when things start getting put away properly and into their final place. Getting into your passenger seat no longer looks like a voyage to discover a forgotten temple in Cambodia. Hacking, slashing, shoving, stepping over everything.
