Hi,
Good project!
I just did a similar project, converting the Daihatsu FourTrack/Rocky 4x4 also with the Nissan leaf motor stack (gen2) and it works very good.
We even did some off-road driving. The power is sufficient for what we want with it.
The only thing we need to get are better batteries with more capacity. It uses the gen2 24kWh battery with 80% SOH.
I was also looking at the gen3 motor but I still find them too high in price.
I am looking forward how this project goes. If you have any questions, please let me know.
by the way, I used the input shaft from the original Leaf gearbox and made a adapter out of that.
If you want I can try to source the wire loom of the gen3 motor.

So time for a truck update. Short version : its running and driving around the property as a work truck and I hope to have it road legal in the new year and on the road.

Powered by a 110kw Nissan leaf stack with PDM and a 24kwh leaf battery.

New flatbed bed under construction using a frame of 100x50x3 steel and end of life scaffold planks.

I've been learning Freecad slowly thanks to having a 3d printer and also trying my hand at some sheet metal design as I have someone with a cnc plasma cutter nearby. My first attempt at a bracket for the power steering pump. Dont laugh too much:)

It even towed a new project car from a yard across the road where it was dropped off by transporter.
