BMW E93 - Hyundai Ioniq 38KwH - Leaf Gen3 Full Stack

Post by vin »

Hey All,

Just wanted to post my project on here to show everyone.

So as it says in the Subject BMW E93 (Ex- N43 + Manual ) - Hyundai Ioniq 38KwH battery pack - Leaf Gen3 Full Stack - ZombieVerter is the current setup.

All Is now working and has been signed of MOT etc.

Still need to work on Fast Charging, but that is still to come. At the moment I just charge overnight and that's it. Waiting for summer and some time of work to get that sorted.

I'll add some photos, please ask if you have any question.

Thanks to Damien and Johannes for helping to make this possible. Appreciate you guys help and efforts on this.

Nice build! I'd love to hear about your battery pack. Are you using the Ioniq5/EV6 modules? What BMS? Did you cool them?

Nice build. I'm in the process of converting my E91 also with a leaf motor. I'm curious where you manage to fit all that battery, currently I plan on putting the bulk of mine in the engine bay but it looks like you've avoided that.

Did you use the complete 38kWh Ioniq pack incl water cooling? Or the single modules in a new box? Do you use the original BMS?
