Kia EV6 2p6s modules

Post by gwguidi »

What is a cost effective BMS for 2p6s modules I will be using 30 of these configured for +- 400volts in a Tesla powered Model A Ford. Thanks in advance.

How will you be running them, in two strings?

What drive unit will you be using? 400V seems to be the max input voltage for Tesla motors.

You will need to monitor all parallel groups, so you need a BMS that can monitor 6x30= 180 cells atleast. This wont be cheap.

I’m not sure about how to string them together was thinking putting 2 modules is parallel and 15 series. The motor is a M3 980 motor. I’m new at this any suggestions are more than welcome. I understand it won’t be cheap. Any oem ones that would work?

Does anyone have the manual for the wdr automiseriung BMS? I wrote them and they told me I had to buy a BMS before they would send me any documentation.

That was the case for me. I was super hesitant to buy it with such little documentation. When you buy it there is a decent manual he sends you upon request. I'm hopefully going to have my first support call this week with him to get my system running. The creator is in this forum, but i forget his username. I would love to be wrong about this, but i think i'm the furthest along with the WDR BMS on Hyundai/kia modules and will post any updates as soon as i have them!

If these modules use Max1785x slaves and you are struggling for support let me know. I have an STM32 and ESP32 solution.
