This is a continuation of a previous thread I had that kinda hit a wall.
I'm looking for how someone who has a working ZV/Gen 1 resolver wired up. I have it as listed below, but my motor wont spin.
Does anyone have their internal PDM wiring documented? I want to see between the green connector to the controller board itself. In my measurements, pin 34 (exciter) is connected to ground (pin 31) on the PCB. I thought they were driven differentially, so this doesn't make sense to me, and i wonder if its the source of my woes, or if I just don't understand correctly.
Thank you!
My resolver wiring:
PDM Pin / Resolver Pin & ID / color
1 / 1 Sin + / Black
6 / 8 Sin - / Green
20 / 7 Cos + / Pink
27 / 6 Cos - / Blue
31 / 4 Temp gnd / Orange
32 / 3 Temp / BLK&PNK
34 / 5 EX / Red
35 / 2 ! EX / Green

Re: Gen 1 Leaf / EM61 Resolver wiring
For reference, at least you can use this to check that the resolver is OK, if you haven't already.

Thanks, yeah I have that, the problem is numbering is not consistent. The connector itself has numbers that don't match up with the documentation, hence why I want to see the internal wiring. I've been trying to copy Damien's from his videos, but they're too hard to make them out.
I have tried using the numbers on the document, I've tried the numbers on the connector, I've tried reversing the pairs in as many permutations as I can .
I'm fairly certain I've found the pairs for s1-s4 and r-1/2, but I just can't get it to spin. My coils measure 38-40 ohms for s1-4, 15 ohms for exciter, and 15k for the temp sensor. No shorts to ground on the coils.
I only can get it to spin on the initial startup signal if I move very quickly to try to spin it during the startup signal .
I can see the pdm putting out exciter signal, and I can see the other coils for the resolver have waveforms.
In the UI, I have Speed at 16383 and torque at -204. These are both placeholders for bad readings in the code. So something isn't getting to the PDM, or I have some revision that isn't compatible (highly doubt)
I'm just not sure what is going on. I want to quadruple check my wiring with the pdm wiring and match Damien's video.
Thanks for the help though.

Re: Gen 1 Leaf / EM61 Resolver wiring
Oh no, you don't use the numbers on the connector
From FSM, use only the order explicitly expressed to be the connector you are looking at.
The Nissan connectors pinmapping seems to be typically harness side view.
To me, it seems that there are several connectors where the numbers embossed on the connector don't match the Nissan nomenclature.
With this approach, I've had zero problems with wiring work regarding Leaf connectors on my GEN2 Leaf based conversion.
For example the resolver wire colors seem to match the connector. This is found in the Power supply, ground and circuit elements annex.
