Really? I did not check as I believe you would have checked, as there is zero mention of you having wired up a brake input.

Why is the brake signal ON?!?

Thaaanks Tom! I got further with that.

I am getting PotNom in Drive (now where there break input is disconnected...I guess I need a different break switch. :) )

reconnecting the Inverter will definitly send signals to the motor but it just beeps when PotNom is above 10% what is needed to convince it to rotate?

All setting are exactly as yours.

Cheers for the support.

Also happy to volunteer to update the Wiki on that part. :) Oh so happy

Will be back on it tomorrow soo my hopes are up. :) Thanks again for the help.

No idea what it would take.

You can plot torque and udc and idc to see if anything happens.

Possibly your power supply aint got enough power.

Hi Tom,

I found the "what it will take".

1. Changed the wiring from Inverter to Resolver connections from a thicker dual core to a thin gauge multi-core wire, this ensures the pins sit easier in the Inverter Plug.
2. Upped the battery size, but I guess that was not the issue
3. Rechecked all wiring and inputs, but that was actually not the issue.

...

So now success it actually drives forwards and backwards in the workshop.

Thanks so much for the support. I really appreciate that this finally works after 15 month of failures. (I live 1000km from the car, so hard to work on it usually)

----

Issues I had.

Even so I powercycled regularly when applying changes the first time it was on the ground the forward direction would apply 100% throttle backwards. But this is resolved with a power cycle.

Also I changed Inverter, even so both are IS300H, Idk the second did it.

Happy to provide any feedback as needed.

Oh yes, it's going to be a great summer now. :)

Hi again,

I have been refining and testing my setup a bit more but I am still having an issue with motor juddering. Verified all LV-communication wiring with 4-eye principle. I switched from a likely RHD-Inverter to a LHD-Inverter. But the issue persists. Only change is with RHD, MG2 only worked with LHD only Mg1 works to actually move the car. If I currently select MG1 it follows instructions of drive and reverse as it should. But it runs out of steam at around 10 km/h and then severely starts juddering. One thing we observed was the inverter temperature raising but with the other inverter the issue did not arise that fast. (I have a 50 Amp limit set).

In general it feels like MG1 and MG2 are turning against each other, creating horrible vibrations and noise... to be expected, if that is the case. (Gearbox is filled with ATF to the top)

Now my question, with the "UK" inverter MG2 works fine (enough at least to consider it working) and with the "EU" inverter MG1 works fine. but never both. How can I trouble shoot this and or do I need to phase change any HV wires from inverter to Motor? But this does not make sense in my head as others have it working with the original wiring, right? I am ruling out EMF interference as MG1 or MG2 work. But never both.

I am sightly confused by the situation at hand and so is my brother who converts EVs for a living.

Thanks for any help.

Best Marvin
