Resolver is differential, throttle pedal is not

I stand corrected.
Still i notice some motor resolvers have shilded pair wires as part of OEM cables and some not...

Hi Johannes.
I know you also built an EV with just the leaf motor and inverter.
I am wondering about breaking or letting off the throttle. I do not have a clutch so breaking or letting off on the throttle will generate reverse emf, correct? And I only have the motor and the inverter not the charger. Will that have an effect on the electronics I have in the inverter?

It's called regen

Re: '70 MGB Roadster - 2015 Leaf EM57 powered
Yesterday, I did a test where after installing the batteries and the motor in the MGB and connecting the batteries to the motor and using my test dashboard setup and 12v power supply with a 12v to 5v DC-DC supply to power the Prius accelerator I spun the wheels (while it was on the lift) in both forward and reverse. 4 years in the making.... pics and video to follow in the next few days. Exciting times.

As promised here is a video of Wheels spinning:
https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/s4oao5j1 ... jo1o0&dl=0
Still a lot of work to do. It's a wiring nightmare at the moment. And I need to get the original 12V system working and keeping it charged.
Obviously I had already set up all the parameters when I had it on the bench before installing the motor and batteries in the car as in this video shows:
https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/34i5xm2a ... v6yky&dl=0
And then spinning the motor on the bench the first time with a Prius Accelerator Pedal:

Re: '70 MGB Roadster - 2015 Leaf EM57 powered
I am having a problem maybe someone knows ow to fix. I drove the MGB down to my garage from the shop. The intention was to rewire the switches (master power on, Reverse-Neutral-Forward), and Key Switch for Inverter ON and Start( Momentary 12V pulse). All went well and I was able to test after I moved the switches to the new dash board but before I mounted the dash board into the MGB. Later I tried to power it up and move it but couldn't get it to move.
OK - wiring issue no doubt. Checked and double checked like six times. Checked that the Prius pedal was putting out the correct voltage, yes.
So then I tried to look at the inverter board and sure enough I see its WiFi (inverter6). My old Nexus Tablet which sees and connects to the WiFi is so slow I wanted to use my new Samsung A9+. But they will not connect. And I don't remember the PW (even if I set a password) 5 years ago.
Any way to reset the password without taking the inverter apart?

Re: '70 MGB Roadster - 2015 Leaf EM57 powered
Solved the password Problem: Never set a password. But new devices require a password. So I used the old Nexus to login and set a WiFi Name and Password.
Now onto the not able to drive problem: I get this Inverter error. [501]: STOP - PRECHARGE
This happens when I start the MGB with HV and then Start the Inverter.

It means udc < (udcsw/2) after 5s. Precharge resistor blown? Or precharge relay doesn't pull in? Anyway, no voltage seems to arrive at the inverter

Re: '70 MGB Roadster - 2015 Leaf EM57 powered
Thanks Johannes. I am using the Leaf battery as it came in the whole battery pack module with its contactor set including its precharge relay. And I see that the precharge relay is indicated as usual on the Pack Sniffer 2 from wolf Tronix and hear it kick on for a couple of seconds before the direct conect relay kicks on. I'll investigate further.
I'll also check that the precharge stays on for a full 5 seconds before the direct conect relay kicks on.

Re: '70 MGB Roadster - 2015 Leaf EM57 powered
Today's investigation: Reread the PS2 config files. Pack Sniffer 2 precharges for 2 seconds then fully enables the direct contactor. (This is the setup I have always used from the beginning). So I tried the following. Leaving as is, I started the PS2, then after 2 seconds I checked the voltage to the inverter. It was at 380V. Then I powered up the inverter and gave it the start inverting 12V pulse. Then I connected to the WiFi. and checked for errors and there were "No Errors". Great! but still no movement when pressing on the prius pedal... So Again I check for errors and see "No Errors".
Is there a way to gather further info using the data available from the Wifi interface to tell what might be going on?
And for the error I got yesterday [501]: STOP - PRECHARGE could it be that the full voltage must be available before I power on then start the inverter? I can and will test for this.
The Mystery of no wheels spinning continues. Any help or suggestions appreciated.

Re: '70 MGB Roadster - 2015 Leaf EM57 powered
OK the error [501]: STOP - PRECHARGE is RESOLVED. If you start the HV and inverter at the same time, you can get this error. If you wait to turn on the inverter until after HV is at full power then you don't get the error.
I still could use some suggestions to gather information on why the wheels don't turn via WiFi and the interface to the OI Board.

Help please.
Issue "Wheels on the bus don't go round and round"
I was able to drive the MGB into my garage from the big shop but now it won't move.
After I power it on and connect to WiFi on the inverter I get "No errors". But still it will not move.
I check all the wiring ad verified that I had +12V applied where necessary and +5V to the Prius Pedal and I verified that it has the correct range.
Here is the parameter file ( let me know if you need more info or I can run a special test):

Parameters look ok. The firmware seems old but that isn't a problem for now.

Hi Johannes,
Thanks for the response!
https://acrobat.adobe.com/id/urn:aaid:s ... c5af633ce
I uploaded the pdf with spot values. Varifed it was in "forward". But please have a look. I am no expert.
Also would you like me to update the software?
I can do that if needed.

Ok cool
So what exactly was the issue?
Would be good if you could upgrade to 5.35.R but read this first: viewtopic.php?t=5075

The wiring I was using was obviously home made. I used auto bullet style (M/F) connectors.
But in removing them and reinstalling them to the new dash board in the MGB there was an open to the momentary run wire.
Thanks for the help!
