Speedhut Gauges Group Buy

Post by EVSwap »

Hi all,
I have the opportunity to offer a group buy on Speedhut Gauges and other accessories. The discount will be 20% off the listed price on www.speedhut.com

Speedhut is a great company out of Utah, USA. They make all sorts of custom gauges, dash faces, digital dashboards, speedometer correction devices, and other accessories. You can even add a custom logo or graphic to the gauge faces.

The best part is that Speedhut now has a line of gauges specifically for EV conversions! Yes, they sell CANBUS connected gauges that will work with Resolve-EV VCU, Orion, ZeroEV, and Thunderstruck! I have used a couple of these gauges in EV conversions and other project cars and have always been super happy with the build quality and results.

Basically, pick out the items you want and post here or PM me your order. I'll give you a total and take payment. I'll place a bulk order with Speedhut on October 15 and then I will hand deliver or ship the items to everyone. I will ship worldwide.

Please get your orders in by October 14! Post up any questions you have here!

This is a great opportunity! Wish I needed some right now!

You can also use the Orion/Zero/Thunderstruck ones work with Open Inverter! You just need to use Speedhut's table to set your outgoing CAN messages. I really like the set that I have in Shocking Chevy. I do wish they had separate inverter temp gauges, but I've made do by assigning Inverter temp to a battery temp gauge.

Sweet, I didn't realize that. I guess in that case you could use their gauges for just about anything on CAN.

As long as you can set the outgoing CAN messages, then yeah the gauges don't know what it's coming from.

I did find that there needs to be something else on the bus - the gauges themselves don't acknowledge the messages at all (I presume a legacy of OEM applications where you don't want the car to know anything has changed) so the OI won't keep sending messages, thinking its shouting into the wind. Took forever to figure out why the gauges worked when my data logger was attached but wouldn't when I took it off. Ended up just tying the drive unit bus into the same bus with my ISA shunt.

Thanks to those of you who have made orders or otherwise reached out about the group buy. Here's some answers publicly for others' benefit:

I'll be accepting payments through my company, EVSwap LLC. You can feel comfortable I won't run off with the cash, plus you know where to find me  . PayPal for goods and services will be the safest way to pay to protect both parties.

I won't be making any profit on this initial order, just wanted to spread the savings to others as I need to reach a minimum order amount.

Shipping should take 1-2 weeks to me and then a few days or longer depending on where they go. International shipping will obviously take longer.

I can do any custom colors, lighting, or graphics as shown on Speedhut.com, just be sure to be clear in your description or send a screenshot.

Be sure to get your order in by October 14!

Does anyone know what it would take to get these working with zombiveter & ISA shunt?
