Noise on throttle pot_in

Post by ElMaco »

While testing some erratic behavior on sel-dir (selecting ”gear”/FNR), I noticed noise on pot_in.

Decided to pull pot1 to ground. Still got noise, see attached screenshot from plotting. Pot1 is showing anything between 55 and 65 even though the input is pulled to ground.

Is this expected, or is there a way of filtering this with the settings/parameters?

that's normal, unfortunately. It is slightly filtered and more importantly it is filtered even more before entering the control loop

Thank you @johu,

Then I don’t need to think more about how to fix that 😅

So the trick is to set potmin a little bit above the noise, right?
