Accelerator Pedal Initial Tip-in
I've been driving my EV Conversion for the past year and still have one remaining controller issue that I just can't seem to get right. If I set up the parameters for throttle-off regen, I have an intial throttle no response for about the first 20% of tip-in. If I set up for immediate response with throttle tip-in, I get no regen. Is it possible to get both?? I've attached my parameter file.

Re: Accelerator Pedal Initial Tip-in
I believe when you set your brknom\regentravel %, you essentially set your "dead-zone" for acceleration.
Would be happy to learn if I'm wrong about that.
Incidentally. You may want to revisit the potmax to avoid issues if the signal shorts to Vcc.

Re: Accelerator Pedal Initial Tip-in
With firmware 5.35.R you get parameter maxregentravelhz which scales regentravel with speed. The more speed, the more travel. So from standstill you get instant response. While driving it remains the same because otherwise you wouldn't be able to control regen.
Before installing the firmware read this: viewtopic.php?t=5075 and change your throttle pedal wiring.

Re: Accelerator Pedal Initial Tip-in
Thanks. I don't want to screw this up. I'm not sure how to download the new firmware file and upload to my controller. I went to your github, but not sure what file to download. Also, by setting my throttle potmin to 400 I was able to get great launch (tip in from zero speed), but lost my regen. My original potmin was 1100. brknom is 30 and brkmax is -50. I had my desired regen, but lost my launch tip in. Info: Spot value for pot is 1212 if that means anything. Recommendation for best settings?

Re: Accelerator Pedal Initial Tip-in
My current firmware is 5.12.R-sine. The wifi interface says to use STM32_SINE/foc.bin. That file does not exist. So, which file do I upload for 5.35.R -- STM32_sine.bin or STM32_FOC.bin?

Re: Accelerator Pedal Initial Tip-in
For those maybe following -- I uploaded 5.35.R stm32_sine.bin per johu direction. I updated two parameters: potmin to 1200 and maxregentravelhz to 100. Vehicle launch now feels normal and my regen is tuned to where I like it (feels like a normal IC engine at coast down). I believe my controller fine tuning is done! Here is my final parameter file if anyone is interested. The vehicle is a C6 Corvette with a weight of approximately 3,800#.

Re: Accelerator Pedal Initial Tip-in
May I ask why you've set your potmin to 1200 if before it was 400. I'd assume 400 is the reading you get when the pedal is untouched.eGrandpa wrote: ↑Sun Sep 08, 2024 8:37 pm For those maybe following -- I uploaded 5.35.R stm32_sine.bin per johu direction.
