Prius gen3 can't see HV voltage

Post by Mhs »

Hello, I have a Prius gen3 inverter with Damians board connected and for some reason I can't see HV voltage on the web interface (UDC stays below 2v)
I have also noticed HICUROFS2 error but I'm not sure if it's related or it's an outcome of the above issue
What I have checked/done so far:
I have checked the voltages on the board (5v and -5v) as per the wiki.
I have applied voltages as low as 20 to 100 with no change
Where should I look next? Can the Prius inverter be faulty?

Appreciate any help I can get, thanks

As with any troubleshooting challenge...

Information is ammunition.

Which board is Damien's board? The Gen 3 brain swap or the Zombieverter?

Dump your params here so that people can spot something off about one of the many inter-related variables.

Yes, the inverter can be faulty, but I think you're a long way away from that.

For example, have you calibrated your voltage readings yet?

Appreciate your answer, I understand that I haven't give enough information.
- The board is the gen3 brain swap https://openinverter.org/wiki/Toyota_Prius_Gen3_Board
- I'm bench testing the inverter with 5 x 20v batteries
- outlander rear motor connected to MG2 and (resolver?) is also connected
- "HV" is connected bypassing the boost/buck stage, using incandescent light bulb to "pre charge" following Damien's described process here (minute 25)

- I was following the process in the link above and explained in the video (around minute 25), reached the "First Run (Open loop motor spin)" so connected HV got the light on and then quickly off (pre charged) started in manual mode to get first spin, noticed no UDC and the error above HICUROFS2
- HV available on the inverter terminals
Image
- I have not yet calibrated the voltage readings (thought that this should come in after successful First run), maybe I should start with this

I will share the parameters once I run the setup again

Thanks
