I finally have the legendary 1984 Jaguar XJ6 in the garage. Some may say it's crazy to convert this vehicle (and its incredible engine) to electric. And I won't argue, the engine is marvelous, but consuming almost 30 liters per 100 km makes it financially unviable. In any case, my idea is to use an electric transmission/motor/gearbox to convert it. Initially, the two options would be the gs450h or ls300h, although, and here comes the first doubt, I would like to have at least the same original conditions. We are talking about a vehicle with a 5.3-liter engine with 432 Nm, a monster of a vehicle, weighing 1930 kg. I understand that the 450 should be sufficient and do this job well. On the other hand, due to the RWD, a Tesla doesn't fit well. Here are the specifications of the donor vehicle:

So, the first question I need to resolve is 450 vs 300. As for the VCU, there's no doubt, Damian and his Zombiverter will do the job very well. Regarding the battery pack, and taking advantage of the lowered prices (Poland, Europe), I'll go for the maximum allowed by the weight, as I have no space issues. With the monster of an engine and the two gasoline tanks it has, I can probably reach 60 kWh or more. The rest of the components, and to stick to a low budget, will come from different sources, keeping an eye on previous conversions done here, especially Artur Kustusch's. This won't be my first conversion; I already converted a Mini R50 in 2020, but it was somewhat easier with a Nissan Leaf and the help of a mechanic. So, I look forward to your opinions... constructive ones
