Brought a wrecked Leaf motor

I brought a wrecked Leaf motor, but I don't know if this was a good purchase.

The motor is complete from top to bottom along with all the wiring(black and orange) and including the charging port.

He is the BIG problem the resolver connection is busted and not sure if that is replaceable.

This car was hit so hard that it has 2 cracks on the upper and lower left motor mounts.

I was able to get this motor for $458 it spins freely by hand with no problem.

I need help with replacing the resolver connection.

I would suggest to get a welder and weld the cracks up or you will need to make new mounts.

You could test resolver wires for resistance and extend them into your own extension cable that you can splice into an original nissan cable. Do you need to use Nissan OEM inverter? Or will you use OI inverter?
Two of the wires will have different R value between them. This is your "excitation". Other 4 wires will have approximately the same R value so those are your Sine and Cosine lines. Rest is thermistor.

My resolver was also damaged and i made a replacement mount and used RLS chip to sense a rotating magnet field instead of resolver.
This could be an option to fit different type of encoder. Commutation, ABZ, resolver signal or data encoder.

I am going to use OI inverter. Damien has that (ZombieVerter), that will allows you to use the Leaf or Toyota inverter. Looking to use something as compact as possible.

Went to the Nissan dealer today and that resolver connection is part of the motor and they do not sell that separately. So I will be doing the resistance test to make sure the connection still works.

With that said what numbers should I be looking out for?
