Document Nissan Leaf Gen2 Kit
I've created a dummy page for the Nissan Leaf kit here: https://openinverter.org/wiki/Nissan_Leaf_Gen2_Board
It would be nice to have some good pictures, assembly instructions, usage instructions, application examples.

Re: Document Nissan Leaf Gen2 Kit
You're welcome to use the pic here: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=151&start=10#p2078 although it's my SMD version.
Although, if you want to, you're obviously also welcome to get some of the SMD versions to sell in your shop...
Also I don't know if you want to use the pin-map I did for the connector too?
Edit: sorry didn't notice it was the wiki

Re: Document Nissan Leaf Gen2 Kit
I'd like to help us move along towards the goals of better documentation which I believe will lead to high level of overall involvement in helping our corner of the world get out of gas vehicles and into electric ones.
As a first step in this thread, May I ask for people to step forward to volunteer to help.
We'll definitely need at least a couple of people with firsthand experience with the install and configuration of the board. Please make a post below of what your level of knowledge on this specific board is and in what way you are able to help us.
Even if you don't have experience with this replacement board, we'll need people that can help in other tasks.
This is an excellent way to learn more about the board and get involved. Step up and give back. Thanks.

Re: Document Nissan Leaf Gen2 Kit
I've made a start on the page and added some pictures. I didn't actually use a full kit, so I've not been able to properly document the build.
connector01 Nissan Leaf Gen2 Kit
unobtanium connector is the same as the 3rd gen toyota inverter connector
I had many spares of them, but none of the nissan inverter spares...so I sacrificed the spare toyota for the 2020 openinverter board.

update the wiki on the connector side.
I have a ampseal connector coming in and will use this instead. Just like on the Toyota’s. will see how the assembly process goes.
but updated the wiki

Re: Document Nissan Leaf Gen2 Kit
Hi all, I have to outsource a lot of the electrical work in my project so have to present exactly what is required while I do the mechanical side.
I have shared the board and instructions sheet + #20 video with a local phone/laptop shop but they have come back with a lot of questions etc. that I wasn't ready for.
The shop will not guarantee any of the work as they don't know about it etc so I need to make the instruction 100% foolproof
I have shared the board and instructions sheet + #20 video with a local phone/laptop shop but they have come back with a lot of questions etc. that I wasn't ready for.
- Is there an instruction video for soldering? step by step - video #20 only shows changing out the board.
Are there any parts that are only one way? resistors /74F00 - does it make a difference which way. There is a U shape and a dot on the upper surface of the chip and on the board has a small box in the sketch.
Any special instructions for heat etc.
What needs to be tested before fitting back inbox not clear from the video. Was it just 12v power can checking WIFI signal?

Should know better - Learning, one f@#$ up at a time

Wow, just realized how far along the Leaf page has come, great work!
This is not a support thread, but hey... The "u" on the chip denotes pin 1 and must point upwards.
