Tesla SDU drop in board current gains

Post by Peter »

Hi Forum. Do I need to calibrate the current sensors in the latest drop on board? If the answer is ‘yes’ this I assume is with motor cables disconnected. Thanks. Peter

Hi Johannes. Thank you for your reply and help. Just in the process of re-assembling the inverter so thought to ask first, glad I did :-) Keep safe. Peter

Both contactor close first one on power on and second one at start signal.
With or without Hv Derate error current limit and also error throttle1.
But could be the possible reason.

Thank you and Damien so much for providing great option for
EV conversions
I am average guy with basic knowledge but I done two conversion with yours logic boards And support
One with Tesla LDU and one with Tesla SDU.
Again thank you!

1.Main contactor close at only UDCSW =0 while battery voltage is 365 V. If I put UDCSW =10 contactor does not close.
2. Tesla SDU Motor spin very fast when pedal just engaged . Pedal signal voltage is Fine 0.7 v to 3.8 v. So pedal does control speed.

Can you set udcnom=0 just to check.
Something is probably not right with your bus voltage measurement or precharge circuit

Did try with UDCNOM =0.
Motor does not spin.
No any error code store.
Main contactor engaged sound is different than before I’did not check precharge relay circuit yet.
Please advice
Thanks

Well, setting udcsw=0 on a HV pack will definitely weld your contactor and it will then sound different to say the least. Sorry I didn't catch that one before.

My car pre charge relay was gone. Change the pre charge relay.I test run, wheel up, on idle speed it is fine.
Also with pedal it run but still fast. But controlling the speed with pedal.
How I can make less aggressive .
My car has brake sensor as will. But car get ready Without pressing the brake,
It should be ready while brake on.
Please advice.

It is hard to control speed with the pedal, as the motor torque is controlled. Once the vehicle is on ground it will make more sense. If I understand correctly you only want the inverter to change to run mode when brake pedal is pressed?
Your parameters look ok but are different from standard. If you want to revert to standard parameters, look here: https://openinverter.org/parameters/view.html?id=15

Did your main contactor survive switching into a discharged capacitor?

Thank you so much!

Have the +12v for your 'start' switch come from the brake light switch (assuming switched positive)?
