Tesla does this for AC:
- Digital comms via Single Wire CAN on CP, if no response time out and go to PWM -12V +12V like other charger.
You could just do this with SWcan and even just run chademo protocol

Re: Battery packs with 3p
Why 3p, you are quite lost. How many cells are in parallel has nothing to do with its performance.
You need to find the continuous and peak rating of the packs. The cells used and in which configuration has no direct link to this.

Do you have internal wiring information showing the signals between the "Cell Measurement/ Voltage Sensor unit" and the Battery Master ECU?
Best to do would be wire the whole thing back up (you should have not stripped it fully ideally) and grab logs, before changing anything.

Re: VW electric coolant heater
I'm confused. have you sent an output of 100% Before the wiki said it was a power request in Watts and not %. The requested 100% resulted in 13.5A draw at +/-365V or 5kW draw. So this is good and is as per expectation. Also confirmed the heater self regulates if it gets too hot, the test setup was ...

What voltage range?
Is the weight including or excluding the housing and all other required components?
You are going to struggle to find anything really with these specs. Like really hard.
Have a look here: https://openinverter.org/wiki/Batteries

Re: Foccci wakeup/sleep discussions
I would prefer someone to confirm this who has actually tested it though. And I haven't heard of the other brands. Yes I have ran this a few times, it works. Most chargers will be like this too as the CP in the EV needs a diode, the -12V is for the station to make sure its not a rouge resistance on...

that makes it a pain, as it will be Panasonics take on how to do ISO-SPI/ISO-Whatever.
So not directly reusable without reverse engineering it from a signal level.

Re: BMW i3 CCS/charge port controller
Turns out you do need the Voltage Sense to work for the BMW I3 LIM to be happy to allow AC charging, it will however start AC charging with the unexpected voltage at charge port, if the HV U sense is at 0. Once you cycle the ignition it will test contactors.

Re: Zombieverter or Lexus GS450h VCU that is the question.
How is the test so far? Do we have regen success with the gs450? I am planning to do some testing next week with a build with GS450h. Other vehicles configurations are also being tested by Damien, he will create a release once all testing is done. Note the GS450h testing requires the removal of reg...

Maybe getting some stick on temperature labels will be good for your testing It "logs" highest temps.

muehlpower, thank you for all your work on this. Seeing the spec of the heater being upto 5/7kW. The LIN control message only has on byte for power level request, this means we can only request 2.5kW. Has anyone been able to get more out of the heater then the 2.5kW. Is it possible that Byte one con...

Like this pack?
viewtopic.php?t=4763
These packs do not use CAN internally but a protocol unique to the chips used int the BMS.
If you label and disconnect the CSC connectors and open it to take a better pictures of the PCB we can analyse it further.

Slight issue with this is that the final XOR for making the command correct for the numbers above 6 wont be correct, but if Andy has gotten the modules reporting the info this is all good.
It is possible that balancing will not work, this has not been proven yet.
