Re: GS450H Motor Connectors

If we want to get more information regarding the temperature rise on the motors, it might be worth changing the 1.8K pull-up to be something bigger. With the 1.8K pull up the temp of the motor has to be > 90C before the ADC drops into range (<3.3V) where it can take a measurement. I have verified t...

Re: Ebay Auctions Of Interest

Not strictly eBay, but a salvage auction in Melbourne this Saturday of a 'hail-damaged' Lexus GS450h, 2012 model. Might be of interest as a 'donor' car for someone in Australia: https://www.pickles.com.au/damaged-salvage/item/-/details/CP-09-12--Built-06-12--Lexus--GS--GWL10R-GS450h-Sports-Luxury--S...

Re: Lexus Inverter Hacking

Hello all. I have a question for you. Would it be possible to use this "inverter hack" to power only the larger of the two motors from the GS450h transmission case for acceleration and regen braking/battery charging? What I would like to accomplish is adding an electric assist and regen b...

Re: Lexus GS450H VCU Support Thread

I couldn't see a wiki page for this ecu, we must set one up to capture some of this info. Does anyone have the part numbers for the plug/crimps which plug into the ecu handy? I want to get these in to make a harness. If you are referring to Damien's GS450h inverter controller board - here is his re...

Re: The SuperYacht BMW E65 7 Series

Is technical data available for this transmission, along with data on the inverter & controller? Can you ask your generic questions over here ? Lets keep this thread focused on the SuperYacht :) My apologies and thanks for that sensible suggestion Kevin! I shall remove my above post/s to clean ...

Re: The SuperYacht BMW E65 7 Series

Thanks - I've been trying to find more information on this L110 gearbox and assumed it was built by Aisin AW since Toyota is their biggest shareholder. Seems it's what Aisin AW refer to as the "AWRHT25 Medium Torque Capacity RWD 2-Motor Hybrid Transmission" - the one in the attached pic, r...

Re: The SuperYacht BMW E65 7 Series

I planning on getting GS450H transmission and your controller but I’m not sure what years but 2007 can work, is there a cut of year ? I'm also wondering about a 'cut off' year for this L110 transmission - according to this Lexus blog, the L110 Transmission remains in the GS450h from 2006 all the wa...

Re: The SuperYacht BMW E65 7 Series

Be careful of ebay for this stuff. At least here in europe it's full of bare bones gearboxes (no wiring, pump, connections etc) for silly money. I've bought a complete GS450h with a battery fault for basically scrap value. It's well worth going the old school route of calling scrap yards etc. I'm loo...
