Re: Wanted: Tesla Model 3 SR 24 Cell Battery Module

Thanks for the link. I'm hoping to find a cheaper option if possible. EVBreakers in Ireland were looking ~£600/700 but the modules I need are already gone unfortubately.

Wanted: Tesla Model 3 SR 24 Cell Battery Module

Wondering if there are any single modules for a short range Tesla Model 3 pack floating about in need of a new home? Ideally need module 4 but module 2 could also suit. This is the pack with four short modules with 24 cells per module, 55kWh :)

Re: Jaguar XJ6 V12 will be electric!!!

I believe someone on the forum has been testing the 2014/15 variant of the GS450H inverter with the older GS450H transmission and having some success. I previously had a Camry inverter running a GS450H transmission ok with the older GS450H VCU. The inverter was the same era as the transmission. So t...

And does the Torque spot value plot to show the matching torque request vs throttle position? Sounds like everything should be good to go, but maybe it is some slight wiring issue as others have suggested

Re: [WIP] Mercedes 310E (310D campervan) - GS450H/GS300H

Is the actual gearbox gear selector in a neutral position (R-N-D) and not in park position so output is free to rotate? In spot values, I presume OpMode is showing as Run, but is Brake showing as Off and either Forward or Reverse showing as On when you're applying throttle to spin? Is LastErr or Sta...

Re: [WIP] Mercedes 310E (310D campervan) - GS450H/GS300H

I have seen something similar with the GS450H...chased a lot of communication issue theories initially. I've used used 4x12V car batteries (48V) and a 60V PSU as test HV supplies with no issues. In early testing the 12V LV supply just wasn't properly powering up the system (seemed to be too low or d...

Nissan Leaf Gen3 Stacks

Picked these up from a local mechanic who's moving premises so needed to sell off some parts. I'm not that familiar with the Leaf stuff, is there a way to tell what kW these are? I'm presuming 110kW as they're 2018. 3 full stacks with the 6.6 charger, type 2 and chademo charge sockets, A/C compresso...

Re: [WIP] L322 RR Vogue - The beached whale

Back to the Transfer Case: In an earlier post I looked at the motor to transfer case drive shaft angle mock up as the motor sat in the engine bay. I wasn't happy with the drive shaft angle (>12 degrees) but was going to test with this to keep things moving, worry about it another day! Another day h...

Re: Tesla Model 3 Battery Cell Failure - Experience Reqd!

i can think of 2 mechanical possibilities: - residue flux from solder cell taps/ left over solder blobs - broken/ interfered cell fuses on the bottom of the battery module. (as you know) these m3 modules are very exposed on the bottom and moving them around is challenging without damaging any of th...

Re: Tesla Model 3 Battery Cell Failure - Experience Reqd!

Thanks for the replies Johy and jrbe. Its an interesting one to me becuase the modele has been isolated and not connected to the other modules or anything that draws power for a year or so. The only work on it was adding the BMS tap wires as shown in the photos above. So those wires go to a 24-way p...

Re: Mercedes T1 conversion

So with the centre mounted tesla, I would have 4x4 but loose the centre diff lock and low range? Its a T1 so wont be doing any rock crawling anyway. Was it just space that moved you away from the AWD tesla on each axle. Space in the middle would be ideal for batteries. The likes of Fellten do the g...

Wondering what the outer LxWxH including BMS board/connectors are for these modules, are they the same as the BMW modules already noted in the wiki (either i3 or PHEV)?

Tesla Model 3 Battery Cell Failure - Experience Reqd!

I'm hoping to get some advice/suggestions from anyone more experienced with these batteries. I have a 55kWh Tesla Model 3 pack from a 2020 car, and I've had it on a bench for the past two years or so...slow project progress! Being newish to HV batteries and keeping my distance, I didn't run them dow...

Any thoughts on the 4x4 setup with the gs450h. gs450h to G wagen transfer box to front and rear G wagen axles. I want to keep it basic. I guess the gs450h has more torque than the gs300h but has the external oil pump. My project is currently based on a GS450H to divorced Magna Steyr transfer case t...

When the granny cable is plugged in, are you saying the CP and PP don't change anything in the spot values (proximity never changes to 'On'?). Did you try other cables to rule out a bad cable? if its a 3-P PCS, are you wiring to the wiki image: PCS_AC3P_Connector.PNG I'm wondering if that labeling i...
