Re: Interference: How to measure and fix it?
Ok, update on this: Screenshot from 2022-11-29 14-27-26.png PXL_20221122_150800634-min.jpg Screenshot_20221129-141549-min.png Got the sensing wires out of the car, shielded them with a braided sock, faffed them back in, unfortunately same behaviour as before. Now measuring at a HV sensing wire as cl...

Re: Rate limiting server access
Slight tangent: Are forum & wiki dumps available actually (w/ user table reduced to nickname & PMs stripped out obviously)? If it's easy to setup I would be interested to keep some local backups, otherwise we have to rely on archive.org if something ever happens to this website. I noticed re...

As stated.
Could do with a spare one, let me know if you have one, might even come and pick it up in the taxi if its in the UK

surprising relation between fmax and speed rpm? ~14.6 [SOLVED]
Hello, this might be a quick and easy one, but I played with the rev limiter and was surprised by the fmax limit and then measured rpm: I expected (either/or): Hz * 60 == maxrpm Hz * 60 * 4 == maxrpm I measured: Hz * 14.6 == maxrpm. Where is my thinking wrong? Firmware is 5.18 on the inverter I test...

Re: Interference: How to measure and fix it?
Thank you all for chipping in, I ordered some shielding socks and tape. Then I was forwarded this graphical guide as well about all kinds of radiation and had a good read through it: https://www.unit3compliance.co.uk/emc-test-design-support-services/graphic-guide-to-emc-near-field-probing/ I am abso...

Re: Interference: How to measure and fix it?
I measured 12V+ to my VCU and scope ground to 12V battery ground to see the 17.6kHz waveform, that is one datapoint. The other datapoint is that the BMS does not report correct cell voltages while driving, no such problems when charging, and even when stopped at a red light it will recover and show ...

Re: Hello There.
Just watch all of Johannes and Damiens videos. Make notes of terms you don't understand, look them up in Wikipedia and search the forum here to see discussions about it. Revisit terms and topics you don't understand until you get them -> then progress. Caveat: Some of the earlier videos are outdated...

Re: Interference: How to measure and fix it?
I've not tried this, but my first instinct would be to use an RTL-SDR with a directional antenna and wave it around... Thats great! I do have a little star-trek tricorder here that measures microTesla and shows it on a display, maybe I hack it with a colourful LED and then do the long exposure tric...

Re: Interference: How to measure and fix it?
That is a very good shout arber, the BMS position is indeed slightly different between our two vehicles. On a bigger scale though, how would I best go about measuring it? Maybe it is impossible, but I was hoping I could get some sort of heatmap after dragging a sensor across the vehicle, a bit like ...

Interference: How to measure and fix it?
Hello, I have seen the previous discussion here about a similar problem: (1) Now, I have interference at 17.6kHz throughout my low voltage system - double the 8.8kHz the inverter runs at, and only when it is active - checks out. Our setup: - Two battery boxes, one in the front, one in the rear. - Sh...

Re: Tesla Charger alternative firmware
Gonna get stage fright here! I just sent you an update, with my changes, let me know if you want more cleanup done as I just quickly whacked my test-"framework" in and tested ~200 LOC of primitives and left some stubs in case someone else has time to flesh it out more. Hope it meets the st...

What a great contribution, I like how short it is, only 1037 lines in src/*.

Re: VX220 with Tesla SDU
Hi man, great project, I watched your videos a few weeks ago. How do you feed data into the OLED display? Do you have another MCU and send it data via CAN or do you display data on it via I2C? Or something else? I am having trouble with EMF and my I2C display dropping out when depressing the throttl...

Re: Update via wifi fails
... [EDIT!] I got it to work... I don't understand what the @ symbol does in curl, but adding it back in and forgoing the ' ' apparently caused the files to be uploaded correctly! Neat. Whats the output from these two commands: curl --version echo "$BASH_VERSION" I am using curl 7.68.0 (x...

Re: Update via wifi fails
filesystem update You are nearly there! There is no bin file for assets, you just upload the html/css/js/png assets directly. The *.bin file is updated via the button once you have index.html & index.js in place. https://openinverter.org/wiki/Olimex_MOD-WIFI-ESP8266#FileNotFound_Error_in_WebInt...

Re: terminal.cpp Unknown Command Sequence "json" [SOLVED]
It works in a car, you see e.g. 60A for regen, -100A when pressing throttle harder, 90A when ChaDeMo etc. Just adding to 500ms made the display work, but it destroyed the web interface, hence having to add a second scheduler to be able to interrupt it, the code is blocking, so in 500ms it would also...
