I just curious, what was/is the intent of ramping up the throttle reading?
quicker pedal response?

Re: zombieverter irratic torque demand in VCM CAN message
I might have found what was bugging my setup.
The zombieVerter parameter "throtramp" was set to 100. Such setting seems to spike the throttle torque demand.
Not sure how it got into my configuration set. some kind of default? Not sure, but I certainly did not touch that.
Anyhow here are 2 ...

zombieverter irratic torque demand in VCM CAN message
Have the zombieverter hooked up to a 2020 Leaf inverter/PDM 110kw stack, together with leaf batterie.
Started scanning the CAN log traces from those runs and noticed this 'weird' series of torque demands sent by the VCM (zombieverter), when I apply the throttle. It looks weird to me. Maybe this is ...

Re: leaf 2020 oem vcu to zombie conversion
Rewired my setup and included the control for the negative contactor build into the Leaf HV battery. Removed the ISA shunt to measure the HV voltage and re-configured ZombieVerter to use the can message from the x1DA from the inverter. Thanks to Damien and CO for making the feature available. Really ...

zombieverter communication problem ESP and STM
On occasion i get plagued by this issue when accessing the zombieverter webpage
Communication problem between ESP and STM
I upgraded my zombieverter just recently to 2.22A., (previously running 2.15)
If i am lucky the issue disappears after a minute or so. Worst case I repower the zombieverter ...

Re: Precharge resistor guidance
thanks for that info. I just blew the precharge resistor in my ev build with a leaf 2020. I am in the process replacing it. I ordered some 100w 33ohm from amazon to replace the oem 30ohm 40watt. Curious how they are gonna work.
one thing i came to notice is that the zombiverter leaves the precharge ...

@tom91
thanks for raising that question about the negative Contactor.
I discovered that I made a mistake.
on the openinverter zombieverter leaf link i found a picture with updated description of the B24 LIIOn control connector

Thanks tom91 for your response, I really appreciate it, and it is really helpful to me.
Sorry for not following the rules, I totally get your point. I am new on this block and promise to improve and follow up with what is needed to describe my setup. will try and do a PARAM dump tonight.

Re: leaf 2020 oem vcu to zombie conversion
some additional notes:
When testing just the zombie VCU on the bench (no leaf connected) I never see any CAN message being send out from the ZombieVCU.
It seems that with 2.22 installed, CAN msg [11a], [1d4] (and more) never send when status is UdcBelowUdcSw. so zombieVCU needs to see voltage above ...

Re: leaf 2020 oem vcu to zombie conversion
Upgraded my ZombieVerter board to 2.22 to take advantage of the noShunt configuration.
Connected ZombieVerter to the 2020 Leaf. At this point I pretty much stripped off all unneeded part and I am left with the Leaf stack (motor, inverter, pdm) and the OEM Leaf batterie mounted in the cars.

leaf 2020 oem vcu to zombie conversion
Bought a wrecked 2020 nissan leaf. Initial idea was to gut it for parts for an EV conversion.
I shifted my plan slightly and like to do an interim step first.
The first goal is now trying to get the leaf working with the ZombiVerter, replacing the original Nissan VCU and to drive the car under its ...

Re: No readings from shunt on Zombie web interface
My ISA shunt init went without a glitch and now it reports the correct voltages. Have not tested the amps yet.
It should work regardless if you use CAN2 (pin43/44) or CAN1 (pin27/28).

I guess I figured how to load the needed files for the web server on the wifi board.
Its' pretty much all the files from here:
