Thats true, he has simplified it as much as you could. Heard him say it was underpowererd as well and max 60mph.

Just came across this EV conversion tonight, looks like he just took the head and pistons out and put a motor on top.

The car and EV control might be a bit more basic than what a lot of people are working on here but seems to work for him as an experiment.

Would taking an already hybrid car and converting it to an EV, be the simplist conversion of all ?

Maybe upgrade the battery pack etc.

or can those kinds of conversions have there own issues.

Thanks l think l didn't fully realise there was so many kinds of welding processes, as l discovered when l was looking up flux core, l had heard of it but thought it was a method used. The reason I was leaning towards MIG was that it supposed to be the easier of the 3 to learn. I came across old posts on other forums where people were saying it cost a lot to get three phase. Probably wouldnt be worth it.

Considering getting a MIG welder although some I think can nearly manage using brackets in new setups.
Is it recommonded to get one rated to 180A which should cover most general work and thickness that I ever see.
